I would argue that blocking all vents to have warmer air inside the tent is not a good idea. With exception of powerful snow storm, when snow can enter the tent through vents, air flow is extremely important to avoid condensation. Tents are not made to keep us warm, but to stop wind and precipitation. Our body warmth and breath moisture in particular just overnight will create condensation dump layer on and in all our gear. Not good in cold weather, particularly if it accumulates during multi day hike. Proper clothing and sleep system keeps us warm. Be safe. Thanks.
The translation might be wrong, or I wasn’t clear enough. The ventilation must be open at all time, but winter tents has solid inner tents (mesh and solid fabric). The solid layer reduces airflow from the outer tent. Hope you had a safe flight back home 😊
@@camouflage962 yeah there's "confirmation bias" but I've also been critical of HB tents and it's shortcomings so I think I can stay quite objective :) Not gonna talk *** about Hellsport on Mr. Hansen's channel, not my place 😇 One thing I can say - when buying any kind of product, I also consider customer service / aftersales and place / country of manufacture to get a total picture.
Thats a hell ( sport ) of a tent you have there ! Too bad I'm not that rich because this tent and the Patagonia would be on my list , and would join my 7 other tents I have 😋
Good idea :) This is the first "learning" video in a series I'm going to make. Feel free to come with suggestions or topics you would like me to address.

I usually keep half of my inner door open too. Anyway thanks for the vid.@@HikingHansen
Really nice video. I envy the conditions you have close by. Kindest regards from Northumberland, England.
Thanks 🙌 This video was recorded 20 minutes from home 😊
@HikingHansen Excellent! Though I am lucky to have some good countryside on my doorstep. I hope my next video has a bit of snow. Heading out tonight!
@@Fellmandave1 Yes, you are 👌 Enjoy
Herlig redigering, top kvalitet i bilde, klipping og lyd! 👌 Flott å se på, Mads!
Takk for det, Lars :)
I like this style of film Mads.
Thanks, Dougie😃🙌

Wow love the editing, especially with the poles. Used to your English videos, needed a minute to adjust 😅
Thanks! It usually takes me 10-20 seconds to pitch a tent 😉 I hope the subtitles helps :)
Great video Mads, thanks for sharing your experience 👍
Boy, you sure are quick putting those poles together 😉😂
Keep well my friend 🙏
Tent pitching is a sport I would like to compete in ⛺️😁 You too my friend 😊
hej, takk før vid - highly appreciated. How would you rate this tent over the KERON 4 GT by Hilleberg?
Don’t even think about it camouflage 😂😉
Much the same, but I would prefer the Spitsbergen tent. Mainly because of the storm flaps and cords instead of zippers in the ventilation.
@@OutdoorPrepHej Rob ... I know why we like what we are having. However, how do you see it ? How do both tents actually compare, if at all?

You can't have too many tents. Im actually gonna make a video about how many tents you need, and its more than 5 😉
Thanks for sharing and good tips, would like to see your view on other types like; igloo or pyramid tents.
