Apparently dark type users are rockstars. I would now like to see a normal type gym leader that is a pop star or perhaps a fairy typed hyperpop Pokémon gym leader.
This song I just heard yesterday for the first time and I swear I did not end the battle until i heard the full theme play out because I could not believe how RAW it was
It's a shame this doesn't play more often in the game! Imagine if you got to fight as many Team Star Grunts as the previous villainous teams and heard this song just as many times ;o
I wouldn't necessarily want it to play I more fights, but I wish it would last longer. No Grunt has more than two Pokemon and that really limits how long this theme plays. The only time it played for a long time for me is when I faced the Fighting Crew while severely underleveled and had to cheese the fight.
@@Jasoun44 it would be fun to see the grunts trying to recruit people and we have the ability to stop them. Similar to the travelling merchants in BOTW fighting bokoblins
The first time I was playing this, I looked right at my wife and said " I can't wait until someone makes a metal cover of this." I am not disappointed 10/10
I regret sleeping on SV for a year, I picked it up right around christmas '23 and as soon as I stopped paying attention to some of the technical wonk i realized this games story and music are some of the best in the entire franchise. The grunt song goes wayyy harder than it needed to, but im so glad it did. Great cover homie.
The internet paid only attention to the technical difficulties of the game, because....fair, can't deny they exist. But yeah, past that, I haven't loved a generation as much as this one since Black and White. Music, characters, storyline and even some challenging battles like never before on the expansions. Team Star storyline is one of my favorites in the game and they are the best team in the series hand down.
This is the kind of game where you spend the first part criticising its technical issues and the rest of it falling in love, and I think a lot of people are at that point now. All my friends who were feeling mid about Pokémon for years absolutely love this game. Yes, the game still has **many** very real issues, but it also surprised and impressed me again and again, and overall I've really come to love it. Maybe that will fade a bit after the neophilia wears off, but for now I have really appreciated what this game has to offer. And with some of those offerings being a few incredible tracks, I'm more than happy to be enthusiastic about these uploads!

I was also playing Scarlet and it definitely feels like it was the more stable game between the two, at least until the 1.1 update, I've been seeing a lot more bugs since then. I also had to wait around 4 days to even start playing the games because the mail is slow and I pre-ordered online so it had to be mailed to me. Even with that and all of my friends having Violet and having a ton more bugs than I have, they all loved it from the start. Not saying the game couldn't have been better, but it seems that why we are seeing more love for the games as time goes on is the people who just watched videos and then proceeded to complain have for the most part moved on, and the people who actually played the games are enjoying themselves. All of us still have minor criticisms but that's normal for games in general. For me these are the best games in the series so far, and actually make me want to immediately replay them. Though given the 1.1 patch actually made my game more unstable I think I will wait on that one.
I’m one of those people similar to your friends. Haven’t been too interested in a Pokémon game since ORAS (that was the last Pokémon game I bought which was in 2015) am a little interested in Arceus but haven’t gotten around to it but seen the trailers for S/V and felt like a child again. I got it last Friday which was the day after a lot of performance issues have been fixed so I didn’t experience that side as much but all I can say is god I love this game so much and it’s exceeded my expectations
That's exactly how I felt. The first hour feels like very typical pokemon with shitty performance but past that I was charlie meming the whole way through, ESPECIALLY the ending.
I couldn't agree more with this comment. Sure, it looks and runs like crap but when you're able to get past that, also if the game allows you haha, it is a fantastic game with great stories and great characters, and of course, a fantastic soundtrack, to the point IMO, it fights with BW as the contender for the best soundtrack in the series, it is THAT good. I've been playing PKMN since 1998, with Blue Version, and i'm not lying as i say, personally this is top 3 best main-line pkmn games, fighting the 2nd place with Platinum (Sun/Moon is 1st place).

yeah that song is so good, what makes it so good in my opinion is the toby fox style leitmotifs used during the climax part, makes the song complete which is something i dont see other covers of the song doing, hope jules notices it
At first i didn't really like the whole team star design in face value. gave me team flare and team yell vibes. But the more i fought team star with all their head bosses they really grew on me very fast as characters. Wich gave me more team skull vibes and i love those goofballs! And their themes make so much more sense how it flows after you know their stories. Hasta la vistar baby!!!!

I noticed in your description that you said that you were surprised people like the songs despite the reception to the game. The thing is, despite the graphics and performance and issues with the game, I still think most people enjoy the game. You can tell from the sales, the lack of reports of mass returns, and generally anyone who has actually played the game admits that if wasn't for the performance and things, it probably would have been the best Pokemon game ever.
0:23 - 0:35 is already my favorite part of tbe original track, but DAMN it sounds AMAZING in this cover. You made it even more of my favorite part. This whole theme is just so good.

@@phyllotaxis Actually, this one is pretty likely to be by Teruo Taniguchi, who most famously did the music for Tetris 99 and did some sound effect work for Pokémon in the past. If you look up "Run for Victory (Ex Stage1)", that's a past track he did for another game that's very stylistically similar to all the Team Star stuff. Very cool to see all these new names hitting it out of the park alongside the classic composers we know and love.

You can refight the mob encounter post game! They use the theme and have a higher kill limit
