idk guys don’t come for me. but asking someone to throw away their future so that they can together is not love. my friend got into a relationship with a guy two years junior. she got into a good college but he wanted her to stay. the two years she just supported him in his studies. he got into a good college and broke up with her, after he found someone there. she got depressed and didn’t pursue her studies. met her last year and felt sad. he’s living his life and she’s just not qualified enough to apply for any good job. edit: thank you all for the wonderful replies. i want to clear that after she got in that horrible relationship she left all her friends. and we all went to college and lost touch. but we are slowly getting back to the being friends. also i gave her a list of community colleges she can apply to. she’s excited about it. i also want to say that you guys are so wonderful for the support and suggestions❤️
Well that's a ❤️🩹 idc if the guy realise what he did to her, how much she has done for him... I'm sure, it's not too late to start over, some graduate in 20's some at their 50's. I pray n bless her, she gets what she deserves :) n well there is karma waiting someway for him..
It’s not too late for her she’s meant to have a good life!! Keep pushing her and tell her that pitiful thing can be used to help someone in the future. She has the physical proof to tell her kids why they should not give it all to a guy. He was just a guy.
I went back to university at the age of 25 because I couldn't get a decent job. I felt so old compared to everyone there and the people around my age already had a Masters or a PhD. I now have a good career and have an opportunity of a lifetime awaiting me overseas. We all make mistakes, don't let her give up or the scum man wins. The greatest revenge is living well.
I just happened to watch the movie. Her father was overbearing because of the loss of an older brother to cancer. The father had repressed guilt because he was a doctor but could not save his son. He PUSHED his daughter to become a doctor to amend for his failure. The dad is a broken man. At the end of the story she runs off with the guy she loves but it was alluded to that she would continue her education after their get away and the father accepting the boy. It is wholesome remake of a movie from my youth. The girl is absolutely gorgeous just like the star of the original movie.
Life isn't all about a career. And just because your son doesn't go to a particular college/break up with someone he loves, does not necessarily mean that he can't create a successful. There was a movie adaptation of the book, Endless Love, with Brook Shields as Jade. It wasn't great, but this seems even worse. I highly recommend that you read the book. It's much more than a teen romance.
I really liked this movie. It's a little predictable / corny at times but it's still an effective piece of work. I thought there was great chemistry between Jade (Gabriella Wilde) and David (Alex Pettyfer), maybe better chemistry than the 1981 film's Jade and David. Plus I like Bruce Greenwood and Joly Richardson, both of whom I thought did a great job as Jade's parents. Now I don't think this is one of the best movies ever, but it certainly is a nice romantic drama / date night type of film. I'd give it 3 stars out of 4.
Endless Love is a great love story i love the characters David and Jade played by alex pettyfier and gabriella wilde they are cute couple who 💘 each other i think the her dad was selfish not letting them be together but he came around in the end which i think is sweet it shows that his daughter is happy for the first time since the death of her brother chris
Wow sorry but that’s not love love is sacrifice you don’t ask someone to throw away their future for clean socks and milk in the fridge that’s just selfish as hell
She has tons of opportunities. Love also requires sacrifice. What these two have is something you will never have. Trust me when you have all the success in the world, you’ll still feel alone. Love like this is the same as opportunity. Your choice.
When watching this recap, this plot seemed bizarrely familiar to me. Then, I saw the title and realized this was a remake of an older film I saw that Brooke Shields was in.
Pumpin Blood (the love montage) scene is just so so so beautiful. Finally a happy ending live up to the title as opposed to an ironic title. They change a lot to make this happen lol
5 minutes into the recap and the main character already commits assault and a felony (calling 911 under false pretences). That is the pinnacle of hollywood script writing.
The guy that plays David is Alex Pettyfer. The first time I saw him in a movie, he had blonde hair. Every time I see him with brown hair; it just looks so wrong to me. I think it was the movie: I Am Number Four
When the unpopular girl in movies is way cuter than all the popular girls at your school lol.
Always brother
I guess it makes sense since they’re all stupid good awful rich

I'd understand the father if he just wanted to protect his daughter. But he freakishly controls everyone in the entire family. Yikes
Like wtf ordering food for your wife and daughter tf???
The 1981 remake doesn’t even help either. You should check out the book to see for yourself, too. At least you can understand father more.
Especially the cheating part

Yeah you gotta suspend disbelief with that one.
she wasn't really an 'outcast' - they mention she kind of became reclusive and kept to herself after the brother died

How can a girl with her looks not be popular at school?
It happens.
At my old school the prettiest girl was actually the silent “nerd”, didn’t have many friends and wasn’t popular.
