Sounds kinda like "the desert's not that hot once you get used to it." or "the pain from a broken arm's not that bad once you get used to it."
Compared to high end Audi or Mercedes there a piece of cake,and the only thing wrong with the Northstar is the head bolts that can be fixed,the drill and tap for a bigger bolt problem solved.most people that own old caddies don't and or can't do this them selves and paying some one to do it is a big bill.
@@mbsnyderc Most people who own Caddies that are under warranty don't do this. Owning a Caddy out of warranty is as stupid as owning a BMW 7 series out of warranty. Once they have a few years on them they're Lemons fodder.

This kind of content keeps on being fun. The carspotting is ok yeah but this is more fun because the bit's presenters get much more invested into it.
Also, the stories about teams, specific nonsense cars making it in the races, loophole cars (thank you reverend elder phil) and the recaps keep on doing it for me an keep me coming back.
The dream of shipping a car from the Netherlands and racing is still alive....thanks to you all of the 24hr lemons team. keep on please.

PS.....dream car to bring.....daf 55 with a good cage, original engine and a theme of wooden clogs and windmills. vario drive, as fast forward as in reverse, spanks did not get it going but we cannot blame him. we got more parts here. Pit vehicle would be a Zundapp 80 cc 5 speed 70's moped, getting judges to drive it would be gold......ofcourse...all you ex motive journalists and enthousiasts can drive a shift motorcycle....yes.....untill you get to the 70s zundapp block that runs forever BUT....has a free running gear click...in between....every....drive gear.....(european evil laughter commences) That being said, whichever judge figures it out would probably have both the speed and endurance on the zundapp to outclass 50% of the cars racing. Please forgive the digression off topic. Just jealous of not being able to attend the lemons races here.
edited for the PS and some spelling and grammar things. Still not perfect but if you can do better in dutch than do in english please write, i bet we could both have fun exchanging language pointers and get down loving lemons.

Thing about the Northstar, I believe there are upgraded head studs or something that make the head gasket problem basically vanish. Not sure they can get that kit for $500 though...
If they were willing to part out the interior and trim, they could earn credit back. Would be pretty brilliant

I think R&T, in one of their April Fool's issues, described Car and Driver as "the car magazine for people who don't like cars." To be fair to Casab...Saba... that guy you quoted, he was really damning with faint praise. It sounded like he was saying good things, but if you look closely he's not really saying anything.

@@EmyrDerfel This is true for the majority of parts, but unfortunately some things are not shared across the platform and so the VW part can end up being more expensive than the equivalent Bentley Continental part because it's rarer.

So the real question is, what should we take to the next race at Gingerman??? The Fiero (needs blown up so we can make it Northstar fast :) ), the Eldorado (to defend it's class C win at Gingerman), the XLR (to prove XLR's don't suck) or the STS (to defend it's previous win at Pitt Race).....
id say the xlr, it sounds like a total ringer for a lemons event which makes it somehow even funnier
