I have an older cousin and she finished BS Nursing kaso di siya agad pumasa sa board exam and then my Lola told me na "'yang ate mo tamo hindi pumasa sa board exam kaya ikaw mag-aral kang mabuti" tapos dumating yung time na nagkasakit nang malala ang lola ko at wala kaminh panghire ng private nurse plus sobrang laki na ng gastos sa ICU kaya nung nadischarge siya sa bahay nina lola na lang siya mismo inalagaan at ginawan ng kwarto dun na parang nasa hospital pa rin and guess what? My Ate, siya ang nag-alaga kay Lola nun, palitan kaming mga apo niya sa pag-aalaga hanggang sa pumanaw siya... Talagang dapat lang bigyang halaga ang nga nurses sa Pilipinas kasi tsaka lang natin naaappreciate kapag nasa gantong crisis na tayo. Haaay, I miss you Lola Inay! ❤ Salamat Ate Mae! Maawa kayo sa mga susunod na nurses na baka iexploit nanaman at gawing volunteer nurses sa ospital na gumagawa ng trabaho ng isang employed nurse pero walang sahod. Ok lang mag volunteer sa mga out of reach areas pero never again tayo sa ospital

nakakaiyak habang pinapanuod ko yung last minute ramdam ko yung sincerity, ramdam ko at alam ko ang paghihirap ng mga nurses. kahit isa palang akong nursing student, ang dami ko ng naranasan mag duty sa malayong lugar, matakot na makagawa ng mali, makiusap sa nanay ko na kayanin pa ang tuition kasi ito naman talaga ang gusto ko. lahat may kwento, lahat may pinagdadaanan sana this time maappreciate na ang mga nurses, in time I'll be one of them as a registered nurse *claim it!* at sana that time hindi ko na maisip mangibang bansa bc enough na yung kinikita dito sa Pilipinas para sa pamilya. Walang gustong mangibang bansa, walang may gusto na di makasama ang pamilya, walang may gusto na di tumulong sa kapwa Pilipino, kaya sana tama na give value, appreciate and love our fronliners, our health workers, they deserve better!

Sobrang relate ako. Parang bumalik ako sa pag-aaral. I am also a nurse, but i didn't practice. Nagvolunteer lang ako pagkapasa ng board, tapos ayawan na. Hindi dahil sa kung ano pa man, pero mas mahal ko talaga ang pagtuturo. True ang sinabi mo na may kanya kanyang istorya ang bawat nurse. Hala same story po tayo. Gusto ng family ko na mag engineering talaga ako kasi nasa family profession na namin mag engineering kaya nag engineering ako kahit gusto ko talaga na mag medschool. After a year na nakikita siguro nila na hindi ako masaya doon pinayagan din nila ako and now nag shift na ako sa nursing. Ngayon, happy na ako kasi I chose the path na gusto ko talaga huhuhu naiyak po ako sa comment mo medyo mababaw para sa iba pero ramdam ko rin kasi and sana payagan ka rin ng family mo sa gusto mo kasi di mo talaga mararamdaman ang happiness pag di ka rin masaya sa ginagawa mo. Hello po, incoming college student po ako. Magte-take po ako ng nursing course sa olfu din, nag online application na po ako. Tanong ko lang po if may cut off po ba sa number ng students sa olfu pag enrollment? Wala po kasing announcement sa page ng olfu abt enrollment, kaya 'di ko sure kung makakapasok ako dun kasi online application palang ginawa ko. Di ako makapag inquire sa mismong school kasi lockdown :(( thank you po.

** Sa mga magtitake nga nursing, or currently on the curriculum, embrace it. For sure d lahat sa inyo at full heart ang pagiging nursing student, but i do believe na may reason kung ba't ka andyan sa kinalalagyan mo ngayon. Napaka full time maging nursing student ( so better i-focus mo nalang sa pagaaral, this is not the best time to get distracted ( too good i have my girlfriend who's a nursing too + napaka supportive na family ).
Galingan mo lang, matatapos mo rin yan. Masaya maging nurse, the fact na u've take 4 years mastering how to care a person as whole, abay edge mo talaga yan.
Tip ko lang: Study Smart( keep on reading, outsource and pretend na may test palagi kinabukasan💪).

I’m a registered nurse but never had the chance to work in a hospital due to a lot of reasons: freeze hiring, backup, etc... I signed up for one hospital but couldn’t wait for it anymore as I was unemployed for 2 years since the day I passed the board exam. So, I had to take a job that’s not even close to my profession. Minsan nakakamiss din yung experience sa hospital. Karamihan ng friends ko na nurses nasa abroad na and super proud ako sa kanila lalo na ngayon. Nakakalungkot lang na minsan magbubukas ka ng socmed makakakita ka ng mga post like mukhang pera ang mga nurses, bakit pa nagnurse kung pera lang habol nila... hindi man ako naging successful na ituloy ang profession ko pero ang sakit makadinig ng mga ganun.. sa tuwing may mamatay na healthcare worker hindi ko mapigilan na umiyak... I have so much respect for these people dahil hindi biro ang humawak ng buhay ng isang tao at napakaraming dapat isakripisyo... sana hindi lang ngayon mataas ang pagtingin sa mga health workers... sana bigyan sila ng importansya gaya ng paglalaan nila ng importansya sa bawat buhay na dumadaan sa kanila
It's amazing how you're saying how college in the PH divided classes like that. I am currently an LPN student here in the U.S. and tech school instead of a 4/5-year college. 90% of what you said is pinagaaralan namin for 1 semester. Nakakaloka. Napakabilis it's like unbelievable. It's true, it's really hard but fascinating. I'm barely passing pharm because I suck at memorizing medications but I wonder kung mas easy ba if I took a 4 year college instead of a 1 year program. Then another year if balak ko mag RN. I'm proud how you survived nursing school. Congrats.

This is all true❤ I'm a nursing student, base on experience(well not so much experience yet but) being in a nursing field or medical field is both an honor and a lot of responsibilities. Dadating ka talaga sa point na aayaw ka, mapapagod, iiyak, gugustuhing sumuko. Pero mas pipiliin mo pa ding mag stay. Why? kase for me babalik at babalik ka sa umpisa kung bakit kaba nagtake ng nursing. Bukod sa sayang yung naumpisahan, mas gugustuhin mong gawing motivation yung mga taong aasa at nagtitiwala sa atin. I'm blessed and Happy until now. Thank you for the inspiration ulit ate mae🤗❤

Hello Anak! My eldest is a Clinical Pharmacist at SLMC. I don't want to be a hypocrite. I will admit that I suggested the course to my daughter for her to venture in another country. Because, let's face it, super baba ng sweldo ng healthcare workers here. Plus, my best friends are in the US earning millions, and have pledged to help my daughter. I hope this video serves as a wake up call sa National Gov't to consider at least raising the salary rate of our healthcare force, before we lose them all to other countries. Keep safe!
