Scythes beat string trimmers in competitions all the time. Nothing to break down, no engine to fuel or battery to charge, the scythe weighs less, is quieter, easier on your body and a healthy bit of exercise. It's really no contest. Just takes a little practice learning how to use one effectively and how to keep it sharp. They're less effort than strimmers. And depending on where you are, you may be able to find usable used scythes for under twenty dollars. I just picked one up for a friend.

I liked Jonah's idea about the frozen meat! But I'm wondering what that would do to their teeth? Just curious? I'm trying to talk my daughter into getting a couple pigs to grow for next year. Keeping my fingers crossed! I figure if we get them in Marches, we can have them butchered around November! We may miss the cold weather that was. Scythe Supply DOES make left handed scythes. The selection of blades favor the right hander, but that is nature of the market not the supplier. I only use a string trimmer around rocks.
I know this is off the subject at hand but where did you get the hat you are wearing in this video? I want to find one. Also, I just built me a chicken coop and hen house and I have 7 chickens. My question is would it be beneficial if I deep bed the chicken coop?
I stopped eating pork a long time ago. I could not digested very well. This just made me not miss it even more. An animal that would eat a human and poop is not for me.
