Question: What is the difference between a treaty and the referendum? I ask because I don’t understand why indigenous or aboriginal people would vote no, in the hopes of a treaty instead. What kind of treaty are the people looking for?
Cash, because the generosity, concern, and care that Australians have shown for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander’s to the tune of trillions of dollars over generations, and Handing over more than 50% of Australia to less than 2.5 % of the population is equitable, unbiased, unprejudiced, and objective. Let us further make sense of how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders recognition in Australia requires (conditions) that we also now undermine Australia democracy. And the only reason not to demand The Voice, is to demand more? WIth no thanks, nor gratitude, nor appreciation. Only grievance. Australia needs to wake up, there is no end to this.
@asheronwindspear552 I apologize , I had literally just woke up, and I thought you were, in fact, defending the voice as apartheid policy. That's why I deleted my comment. Sorry
@@resolecca How is equality racist to you? Please explain that. I support NO based on clear egalitarian principles governing a society, without excuse.
@@asheronthedruid Have you actually listened to the racist ideology & rhetoric that comes in the 26 pages or in Pay The Rent? How is it not deeply racist (even if cool & hip) to give people special power or soverignty based on having a bit of the one entitled race in their DNA? HOW?
I would have liked to see/hear what the Jarrets, Kellys, Donovans families had to say on the voice, I would like to know what the Gumbayngger tribe think of the voice, as a tribe have they voted on this? do they vote ? or is that a white man concept for them ?did they attend the Uluru statement from the heart meetings that decided voice treaty truth?, were their elders invited ? Im not real impressed with this vidio, no offence Uncle Martin Aunty Bea and family but as a person brought up in a racist household which I questioned from around ten years old, Im very interested in some answers, so sorry that you have to deal with this serious stuff when you need space to greive the passing of your sons. While Im here I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for embracing my presence on your country, from the moment my eyes saw and my heart felt your country I loved it deeply so therefore I love your people and understand your connection to this place, I am lost without it. Please accept my deepest gratitude for your kindness, inclusion and generosity. 🌏✨🎶❤🌞
Next stop for perspective ,the ABC will go to the district with the most yes votes in 1967 ,
As an average Australian, I will be voting NO
