generators run at a constant rpm this would be running 1800 rpm to maintain 60 HZ no matter what load some smaller generators and some generacs will run at 3200 rom for a 2 pole generator or 2100 for a 4 pole with a indirect drive (generacs) and then getting bigger some will run slower once to get into 6, 8, 10 pole generators however no matter how many poles it has it always maintains a constant rpm

I would imagine 1800rpm for 60hz. Stuff in the UK does 1500rpm for 50hz, some gensets would run at double (3600rpm/3000rpm.
