The opening guitar riff was the first one I figured out on my own when I was 15 (1987), and it gave me hope to keep trying to learn. Five years later, I knew the entire Live After Death album. Today, I've forgotten more Maiden songs than ones I can still play. Realize you're living in the golden years. Don't waste your time looking for those wasted years.
Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath are unmatched. My 2 favourite bands for a reason. It would be cool for you guys to check out Black Sabbath but with Ronnie James Dio on vocals. Heaven and Hell and Sign of the Southern Cross, or The Mob Rules, Bible Black (from 2009) are must listens!!
Megadeth - Holy Wars Metallica - Wherever I May Roam Black Sabbath - Megalomania Iron Maiden - 2 Minutes to Midnight Judas Priest - Beyond the Realms of Death Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell Ozzy Osbourne - Mr. Crowley
I remember when this tour hit San Antonio back in game. Hell of a show. Me and Juan dropped a hit of acid each, dank and smoked on the way to the show. Snuck in a bottle of Jack. Crazy times with great music. Rock n metal forever 🤘🤘🤘
Apparently this was inspired by the feeling Iron Maiden had that they were constantly on tour and they felt like they were slaves to the power of constantly touring and they would never get any respite from being on the road 24 seven.
This song might have been inspired by the Rainbow song Stargazer. Check out the Dio song - Holy Diver. Not the official video though, as the shorten the epic guitar solo. Dio is one of the greatest rock singers. Arguably the greatest.
Hold On deep purple in the stormbringer album do it fuck yas lmao 🤣❤love from Australia then try the original 1998 ep frozen illusion from paradise lost three songs from hell yeah fuck yeah
Doing the 1A and 1B with Sabbath and Maiden is fine for now and understandable, but if you continue on you'll discover that 1A dries up rather quickly in comparison to 1B. The 2 bodies of work aren't remotely equal.
I’ve got a lot to say, so I’ll keep it brief. I like your reaction, the blindfold thing is pretty cool. I’m not sure how I feel about it just yet. I like the fact that you guys are into what people call Dad metal nowadays. If you haven’t reacted to Judas Priest yet, you should definitely put that on your list. I don’t know if this is my favorite album by iron maiden, but it was the first tour that I saw them in concert , I was 16.❤. you should check out their stuff with their first singer. My favorite is the Ides of March into Wrathchild.❤
Iron maiden lyrics were no joke. Straight up history teachers and storytellers
Seventh Son Of The Seventh Son is my favorite Maiden album 💙

And the following song is the last on the album; Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

Up the Irons! You three are awesome!
I saw the Powerslave tour back in the 80s in Philly. The stage was all set up like the album cover Pyramids statues ect was amazing!
Saw the same tour outside of phoenix at firebird lake. Twisted sister was the opening band.

Powerslave is an incredible album. You should definitely give 7th son of the 7th son a listen. That is arguably the best maiden album 👌.

It's metaphor for being a touring rock band, the adulation of the crowd, the ego, the danger of believing the smoke being blown up your ass lol
one of their best songs! and Top 10
Iron Mainden is amongst the few bands who sound better live than in studio
Guns n Roses 'Civil War' You'll love it!
This album and Piece of Mind album go back and forth for the top 2 Maiden albums for me!
Just bought a 1984 vinyl press of this Masterpiece. Sounds incredible

Do Soundgarden “BlacK Hole Sun”. Take it to the 90s

Try a new era track
The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg.
