Dear departed Dara Singh ji was simply great in many respects- a simple and good human being, man of grand personality standing out from all his contemporary peers, good actor, film-maker and, above all, the greatest Indian wrestler who achieved the World Championship as well. As a hero, none of his films was without a wrestling bout which happened to be the craze of the day way back then. In childhood, we friends would try Dara Singhji's wrestling maneuvers in practical among ourselves to our entertainment and would see all his films many a time. He was very polite and meek to one and all meeting him and had no airs and graces about his manly power. The void left by this legendary figure's demise is unbridgeable indeed. R.I.P. Dara Singhji! Thanks a lot!
