In other countries , our textbook has always a partner of workbooks of their own according to the syllabus /topics taught in a grade level

Its a role of the principal assist his teacher to upgrade for next level of his recent position. May guidlines po niyan, kahit wala kang units basta umabot na po ng 20 yrs sa pagtuturo, magpasa lang po ng documents for recla. Makakuha po ng nararapat para sa kanila. Kawawa naman 20 yrs taz TI lang, sad situation😢😢😢

I disagree with that. Teachers should have progression those teachers who has masters or phd should be promoted since they put hard work and dedication to improve themselves. Learning should be a life long pursuit of a teacher and they should be competent and well versed also.

Sana kasama sa bill na ito na kapag na-promote o na-reclass ang isang guro, hindi bumabalik sa step 1. Halimbawa kung ang isang guro ay T2 step 5 tapos na-reclass to T3, dapat tuloy lang ang step nya sa 6., hindi yung bumabalik na magiging T3 step 1.
Kung ang insist po natin is quality of education madami po factors n dapat I consider;
Students are not focus on their studies because of gadgets like celphone inside the classroom during classes.

So many task of the teachers in paper works instead na mgfocus in teaching.

Im not a teacher but I agree. Those facts are given, gadgets and other factors as stated but if a teacher can make student is being motivated then Im sure it will make the difference.
Another ay yung pinagbabawal ang corporal punishment kaya the discipline also affects in the performance of both parties and with parents.
SG 12 for entry level from SG 11 is already a Welcome development.

Our honorable representatives and Rep. Roman Romulo, sana makita ninyo ang retirement pension na sana ay nakiki ayon or nakikipareho sa present prices to fight inflation to be fair with pensioners dahil nag I increase naman ang basic commodity prices.Example , nagretire si Teacher A as Teacher II so the pension should go with the present salary of Teacher II. Pensioners naman lives 1/4 of their life na.Hindi kagaya ng nangyayari noon pa na kung nagretire ka ng year 2000 as Teacher III ang pension pay sana ay yung current pay pa rin ng teacher III ng 2024 or present time hindi yung pension nya noong nagretire ay ung pension pay na inabutan nya its not going with the inflation rate.

Sana may mkapansin na kinauukulan sa concern na ito. Sa K to 12 quarterly ibang branch ng science ang ituturo in every curriculum level example sa G9, quarter 1 is biology; quarter 2 chemistry; quarter 3 earth science; quarter 4 physics. E ang teacher natin mostly isang branch lang ng science ang major field nila. How can a biology teacher can effectively teach physics? or chemistry? Mas maganda pa rin yong sa Grade 7 - General Science, G8. - Biology, G9- Chemistry, G10 - Physics. Because these sci branches require teachers with this specific major para mas maituro ng maayos ang content ng lesson. 4 major fields yan na hinalohalo ngayon sa bawat curriculum level ladderized ika nga. Pero hindi ganun ka effective. Isa pa mahirap e bridge yong lesson halimbawa nlng ang physics ituturo ng isang quarter sa G7 ang karugtong ng lesson na yan sa Grade 8( 1 quarter) then itutuloy sa Grade 9...then sa G10. It takes days/week na e refresh ang students para madugtungan mo ang previous lesson (na itinuro last year) para maintindihan ng mga studyante. Hopefully this will be addressed. Ibalik sana yong dati mas effective pa rin yon.

Basis for promotion should not be masters and PhD and connections..should be merit and performance based, results of learners quality- national achievement test
Paano na lang yong investment namin sa Ph.D at M.A ,napakalaking gastos noon. Hindi pa nga ako makatapos sa pagbabayad ng loan dahil dito,kasi sabi nang pamunuan hindi ma propromote kung wala nito.
Tama po kaya marami ngayon ang mga batang tapos ng masteral kahit 1to 2 years pa lang in service napopromote na agad from t1 to t3 agad

Your honor, Yes I can relate that situation. I was a Teacher 3 from my original school. I was applying for transfer because of a valid personal reason my safety but I really demoted from Teacher 3 to Teacher 1 for my new school. It was almost 3 to 4 years to be promoted again to Teacher 3. So sad but I could for my safety that time.

Pahihirapan lng ang mga guro sa training naiyan... Mapupunta lng naman sa bulsa ang budget sa training....kahit hindi mag training ang guro kayang kaya mag turo ng maayos...
dapat kasi elementary level, wag damihan ang subjects... taggalin ang EPP ilagay na yan sa high school... yong mga basic lang muna hangggang sa mamaster.... tapos work load, dapat focus on teaching lang.... dami ng mga reports na pinapagawa nyo pati sa bahay dala dala namin trabaho namin kahit sabado at linggo... kami lang siguro sa gov't agency ang pati sabado at linggo ginagamit namin sa paggagawa ng mga reports... grabe na talaga taga deped ngayon

It is right to give credit and recognition to all teachers who rather opt to be passionate and dedicated in their service instead of upgrading their professional advancement for the sake of promotion..Cause most dedicated and passionate teachers wud not dare to sacrifce much of their time spending higher education coz it may sacrifice the quality of education they can provide for their learners success since u cannot serve two masters.

I agree with you Chairman Romulo. Some were to fund themselves for schooling just to be prmoted.But there were teachers qualified to be promoted because they're so diligent working all day long but they're not promoted for the reasons that they do not graduated from master's degree. Big bias to those teachers who can not fund themselves to take master's degree.

Sana nga po Hindi na 5 or 6 teaching loads a day in a week..sobrang pagod n Yun sa teacher tapos akyat panaog pa sa magkakaubang building...4 teaching loads a day okay na yun
Masters Degree??? Galing naman sa tabi tabi. Daming "diploma mill" para sa promotion. Sa teachers applicant namin nid na may 30 units para may point ka sa education. Sana mawala yung kung gusto mo mapromote ay magbayad ka para sa masters degree. Sa PNU, UP at sa ibang recognized institutions pedeng kunin lang ang masters at doctorals degree.

Romulo, teacher"s promotion is not fair if kung babasehan lang ang education ng teacher and trainings are useless coz its a repetitive trainings at sayang lang ang budget at time ng teacher sa pagtuturo. Better focus on teaching not on trainings . Wala namang materials na maibibigay sa mga estudyante , guro pa ang gagastos dahil sa trainings na yan. Hindi na makapagturo ng maayos ang guro dahil sa ASAP na reports sa gawain na pinapagawa ng Deped.
please give justice to aging teachers who are still t-3 and is about to retire. Gumastos pa ng napaka mahal sa P.hD at M.A'S. May nakabinbin pang malaking utang!

for me the entry level dapat for a newly hired teacher must be sg14...kasi kung ikukumpara mo ang SG sa ibang asian country eh nakakadismaya ang deperensiya. kaya nga napakaraming teacher ang umaalis ng bansa dahil sa baba ng sahod ng guro...parang namamalimos ang mga guro eh..ni hindi nila kayang dalhin ang sarili o kapamilyang may sakit sa ospital dahil kapos lagi sa budget...at isa ito sa dahilan kung bakit nagkakaroon ng gap sa teaching and learning process...hindi mo maialis kay teacher na iisipin niya ang mga problemang pinansiyal hanggang sa kanyang trabaho...nacocompromise ang pagtuturo niya lalo na yung dapat matutunan ng bata...domino effect yan..

Tama po yan Hon Romulo. Nagpapaligsahan ngayon ang mga teachers sa pagkuha ng masteral and doctoral courses para s apromotion. As I have observed karamihan sa kanila busy sa kanilang thesis and researches kaya napapabayaan na ang mga learners bibigyan na lang ng sitworks kase gumagawa ng paperworks si teacher for her studies. Dagdagan pa ng mga coaching for a particular contest. Nakafocus si teacher sa isang learner para manalo s acontest iniwanan ng ilang linggo ang majority of the learners sa classroom na walang ginagawa. So hindi nakapagtataka na mangulelat sa PISA.
Correct po yong ipinaglalaban mo po sir ...sana mabigyan talaga ng chance ma promote ang mga teachers even sa mga barrio schools nagtuturo at hindi po yong nakikipag compete sa mga teachers sa urban kung saan sila lang ang halos nabibigyan ng chance magtraining na kailangan sa promotions
If we want quality education, we need to revisit the class size ratio between no.of teacher and learners for stage 1, 1:40, dapat mabawasan maging 1:25 from Kinder to Grade 3.
Sana po yung voluntary transfer ay madadala pa rin ng teacher ung position niya from one division to another kasi nakaka discourage po kasi un eh. Nakakawala ng motivation magpapromote kung malaman mo na dmo rin pala madadala yung position mo paglipat mo. At saka ung performance po ng teacher maapektuhan din. Tapos doble trabaho po ung after malipat eh mag apply agad ng re- classification. Sana pag isipan ng DepEd na iisang Department lang tayo.
Nsagot na po yn. If voluntary, kung ano available sa paglilipatan, kasi pwedeng abusuhin yan. nag agree naman lahat.

We are from SHS teachers, we are discreminated from career progression in the recent terms. Please let us be part of the new career progression. We are oftentimes rejected for upgrading our recent position because accordingly their was NO guidelines for SHS teachers for a reclasification of the recent items particularly after teacher III.

Sana po Ang promotion. Is according to length of service
Mabuti narevise ninyo na need Teacher education sa promotion. Mas maganda pa performance ng mga bata sa hndi graduate ng teacher education.

Marami pong applicanteng guro, hindi po sana problema ang kakulangan kung dagdagan ang hiring.
Speaking of length of contact time ng teacher sa learners, ibalik sana yong 60- minute per subject. Bawasan lang ang subject load ng teacher, hindi number of minutes para magturo sa subject. Parang ang ginawa kc noong nagrireklamo ang mga teachers sa sobrang load sa pagtuturo ay binawasan ang minuto ng pagtuturo sa mga subjects, imbes na ang binawasan ay ang bilang ng subject load. Ang nangyari ay na-compromise ang haba ng minuto ng pagtuturo, pero hindi nabawasan ang subject loads ng Teacher, para lamang makapuno sa requirement na 360-minute load of teaching a day. Naging palusot po siya.
