It astounds me how she can say "I didn't think it (burn out) would happen to me" and follow it up immediately with "I was playing FFXIV nonstop all day everyday for 6-7 years" lmao
I mean, if you're playing something nonstop for more than a year, it's more likely that you would've burnt out much earlier. so it probably wouldn't happen already
I work odder hours than normal so even getting a raid group outside of hitting up aussies is straight up impossible. I'd like to go harder raiding but with work schedules conflicting its really difficult and I'm usually so spent at the end of the week that i don't really have it in me to bang my head against a wall
@@legalizemarinara She is a streamer with millions of followers she doesn't have any other job. However, if she thinks she can keep the same people engaged with that phone app she is playing she will find out that's not going to happen. Sure, a lot of people will continue to follow her but those are fans of her not people tuning in for XIV content. Ultimately XIV will be fine without Zepla it existed 3 years before her and will exist just fine without her there are hundreds of thousands of people who play and never touched any of that content this game was designed to get along without it advanced endgame is totally optional. I quit playing that content because when your group fails, and your static breaks up it breaks you and pushes you to quitting like Zepla is feeling right now. She looks depressed and defeated my money says 100% she is done. Perhaps the last raid was too difficult like Alex Savage did to my group we broke up and several players quit I just never had the ambition to find another group but I like other content like trials deep dungeons and duties, so I continue to play.
Late to this but Xenos's guides are so much easier for me to follow than others, I zone out during so many other videos but hes funny and draws on the screen which definitely helps me stay focused on the content
I’m not surprised she’s burnt out, especially after the video she uploaded after DSR. That fight sounded like it defeated her. Also learned she was part of Rin Karigani’s static, so… yeah. It’s fine to be burnt out, Yoshi-P even agrees and has told people to play other games. She will be back when the time is ready, just as the rest of us when we take breaks.
I don't understand why the FFXIV content creator sphere treats the community like an airport. You don't have to announce arrivals and departures. Play what you want.
I mean if you’ve been streaming the same game for 6 years I think it’s pretty reasonable for people to ask why you’re not streaming that game people have come to expect you to stream
I think this is fair if you're a non-streamer, but if you're a streamer and people have come to expect that content from you, I think it makes sense to announce when they can no longer expect that kind of content from you.
Because people keep asking in chat if she quit 14, that's why. Asmon everytime he streams as someone asking if he quit for good, and he's not a FF14 streamer, imagine one playing the game for 6-7 years.
I personally prefer the Xeems fight guides. Sure, other people have very concise explanations of mechanics with top down diagrams playing out in real time, and that's great for some people. But for me, the combination of the squiggle drawings mixed with anecdotal information and random stories about personal experiences and/or whatever comes to mind during mechanics actually helps me remember things from the video a lot better. (It might sound like a joke, but I'm being serious.)
Nah makes total sense those diagrams are great and all but let's be real unless you're zoomhacking you don't have a birds eye perspective so once you get in game things are very different and can't account for all the little things you use as reference points. And at least for me, you need those reference points to perform well/consistently. It's why I prefer to do some blind pulls even if I am going to look up mechanics eventually, getting a real experience in the game is way easier to remember than some abstract chart. Then obviously if you are still having trouble with the basic concept of how it needs to be executed, they can be helpful at that point.
I got burnt out on Genshin, finally joined a friend in FF14 around the end of Shadowbringers, got obsessed with it, then recently got burnt out again last patch and I'm back in Genshin, catching up on the last 2 years of content, which has been very good. I do wanna get back into FF14, but right now I'm kinda busy with other things. It's aight though. I'll be back eventually.
I've been playing since 2010 and never felt like quitting the game, but my attitude towards it varies from "OMG I'm so hyped about this new thing that I'll literally take a day off work to play it blind right away!!" to "This content has been in the game for 7 years now and I still haven't done it, I don't dislike it but I'm also not motivated to log on just for that". I know as a content creator people expect her reaction to literally EVERYTHING that exists in the game and its community, but like, it's normal to not always be equally excited for everything, and content creators are no exception to that...?
Probably didn't help that she was spewing garbage on streams and twitter to the extent that people just stopped wanting her around. Also the fact that she was in a group with Rin. You got the gas light king criterion savage boss and the "I've experienced war so what you think I'd harmful doesn't matter to me" queen in the same raid group. That shit was doomed to fail off rip.
This is also A blessing in disguise in Zepla case because lately I've been seeing die hard genshin streamers starting FFXiv, sure you lose some viewers from people who only watches her for ffxiv but the blessing in disguise she could attract A bunch of new faces that might wanna try FFXiv due to being burnt out on genshin
TOP really is kind of an awful fight to prog, even if there's aspects of it I thought were cool. The only real thing I'd say it has going for it is that even though it's longer than (post-checkpoint) DSR, it manages to also feel like it's not as long of a fight, but that might be because it feels less like individual pulls and more like a purgatory you're stuck in forever.
I heard from some of my JP colleagues, it seems that the devs are purposefully loosening the grindy content due to the fact that in japan they are shifting back the workstyle from WFH to WFO. The workload is insanely high too now compared to the pandemic few years back. The devs are respecting the working community of JP players and indirectly told them to focus on work, you won't missing anything much this patch.
damn I knew the JP community was a mysterious special exclusive club but I didnt know that just being Japanese means you can read Yoshidas and other devs mind and have secret knowledge for their motivations and changes that they havent revealed to the playerbase. Sounds kinda BS but hey your colleague said it and he's JAPANESE so clearly he must be right 🙄
Not Japanese here, but I was hardcore raider during the pandemic, until WFO happened again and I don’t think I can raid anymore with my work schedule 🥲
@@Breaker242 i mean it's kind of fucking common sense if you're not a complete and total door knob and know anything whatsoever about japanese work culture but sure it's total bullshit, that's like... LITERALLY... one of THE MOST WELL KNOWN fuckin things about japan lol
As some one who was new to savage content organizing a static was awful. I just gave up on organizing a static. I went through so many party members, because of no shows or flaky people. So I just ended up PFing it. Im happy to keep grinding away at a game, thats easy, but trying to organize a static is a real pain.
One time I tried making static, some have way far more time than the others progged more in pf and feels like the others slowing him down. another one suddenly so busy irl, another don't feel like doing it atm. Meanwhile when doing PF, every raid is gacha. You can only improve yourself but it's just 1/8 part of it. some come to p8s with 610-620 random gear with no meld. another have healer that do 40% lower damage than the other healer. and with pf, you can't arrange the loot so the whole party improves no matter who get the gear. in pf if you don't get the gear, too bad. here's 1 book for you, hopefully you get 1 accessories before you got 4 of this books. I probably have to change mindset for PF savage raid next tier. I come back from working, do 1-3 session of savage raid, don't really care whether it went bad or good, clear or not. as long as you know it's not your fault, just treat it as "yea it's PF, nothing else you can do", or try to join some static but not organizing it myself.
It's the #1 reason I stopped playing raids in FFXIV. Savage, ultimate etc I couldn't stand it. When i was working retail and had unsteady hours I'd try to PUG and it was like RT Bear said a gacha game. Even when trying to make a static it just inevitably breaks apart after 3 weeks no progress. It's a shame because I do love FFXIV but organizing with 7 other people is easier said than done. And for those who accomplish it - kudos to you, please value what you have because not everybody has that luxury!! And even now with a steady job I prefer to let myself relax and play something super casual. Even on FFXIV I just craft, gather, and do roulettes/normal raiding. I keep up with the ultimates because I find the fights themselves to be great spectacles. I hope that TOP is made less of a pain though. I hear it's difficult and I haven't done any research on it for why yet.
I'd argue it's a mix of factors. The Wizard Game drama likely damaged her analytics enough that doing solely 14 content wasn't going to get as many views. DSR into P8S into TOP was miserable enough, that I wouldn't blame many raiders for quitting raiding entirely and retiring to Balmung. The game's kinda quiet at the moment because it's the middle of an expansion where the .3 patch isn't a major story event, and the traditional relic grinds aren't present. .3 patches tend to be the quietest parts of an expansion, after all.
And you forget about she did live in Ukraine and had to move out to other EU countries and, at the end, back to her hometown in the States after the war started last year.
I havent played since the end of end walker. I been playing for over 3 years. Sometimes you just gotta let the content pile up before u can just dive back inm
Yoshi P: We want people to relax and enjoy the game, go play something else if you get bored. FF14 Creators and Community: Quote Yoshi P about playing other games but have a mental breakdown because theres no content and they wont stop playing.
@@luiz8755 Unlikely, since that philosophy of "subscribe when you want, unsubscribe when you are done," is inherently baked into the design of the game. funny enough the majority of people praise this philosophy, especially in an era of GAAS, gatcha, eternal battle passes, immense grinds, and microtransactions. I remember Zepla, Xenos, and Arthars praising this philosophy a couple years ago, other FFXIV content creators, WoW creators like Bellular, Asmongold, and the Echo raid team, and many in the game industry (both Western and Eastern) praising this philosophy.

I've been playing since ARR release way back in 2013, and there have been multiple times when I've hit serious burnout too when just being online felt like a chore. It happens, take some time off when you need to. Play another game, breathe for a while. And I say that towards everybody, not just Zelpa.
When you play one game no matter how much u love it eventually there will be burnout. It’s ok to take breaks personally I think it’s good bcuz when u get that itch to return the game will feel better and new
I played at release for 6 months war drg rng crp mining and bot capped. Tomb grind and everything in instances got boring fast for me. Took a break still not gone back I miss ffxi.
I don't tend for Ultimate to destroy my enjoyment for the rest of easy casual content. I just chat, talk, watch stuff while doing dailies. Playing 8+hrs anything can be insanely brutal, it will destroy the vision of the game or other content if you are not prepare mentally. That's why I don't do above 3hrs of savage/ultimate prog since I know my limit since Coil raids days + people you raid with can affect a LOT the enjoyment too, which for Zepla...changing constantly people + 0 prep with group + long hours doing blind ultimate prog on content will burnt you out pretty fast. Always good to have a balance even when playing video games that you love and take a small break here and there.
Love xeems for the relic comment because I’ve been arguing with friends that’s it’s so good because it’s so easy to do. Its the first time I’ve gotten all the relics
Completely human response. Too much of anything and we'll burn out, even on things we're absolutely in love with. The new patch came out and I couldn't bring myself to log in. No doubt its great content...but man, I-I need a break.
I've been with FFXIV since 2.0, but I have taken breaks for months on and off to explore other things.. if i felt overwhelmed, I'd move on to something else, but always come back because FFXIV is my home. I heard about horror stories from ff11.. whyyyy do they make fights that absolutely destroy players? like physically make them ill. you should have fun with a game, have some challenge, but if your health is on the line, is it honestly worth it?
I gave FF14 some love last year, played it for 7-8 months for a total of 1,200 hrs but I stopped. Completed savage P1-P3 and then P5-P8, endgame loop started to just get boring. I also grinded Eureka and got the ele armor, that was really fun to me.
Back in HW, after pugging Zurvan EX (was a new player back then) for over a week for not even a single clear because clear parties were a scam back then, i realized how little i care about the gearing and endgame. Gear is just so 1 dimensional and ontop of it jobs have just gotten more and more boring to play because they keep removing any semblance of skill expression and depth from them. While i think the raids have absolutely insanely good design, everything else around endgame feels so watered down that its just not worth it to me to sit through that again.
no offense to zepla , but shes not that good at ff to be in a hardcore team. she got very overly confident when she cleared DSR , in a static which was full of veterans.
I did progression raiding in WOW for one xpac back in the day, and we raided for like 4 hours a night a few days a week and with a full time job that was too much. It’s easy to get caught up in it and develop and inflated idea of the importance of what your group is doing. But it’s a game it’s just a game. If you’re making a meaningful amount of money streaming your raids then it’s a job and it’s ok to put in full-time-job hours. But if you’re putting in full-time-job hours, and not making at least $100 a day doing it, you need to stop the second it starts to feel like a job and not a game, because your time can be better spent not making yourself miserable.
I know the answer of what I am going to say is "for content" if you think about a TH-camr or Streamer. But aside from the Video/Streaming, there is people who actually are so attached to a game to treat like is something big taking a break or stopping playing for a while or for good, it is so weird for me, some people treat the game like chores or a job, it is okay to just go and play other games, at the end of the day is to have fun, it is so dramatic that I just can't swallow that we are actually talking about stop playing a game and I realize how dumb it is. And if the person enjoys the game, just stop for a while and come back later, this specific game resets every single tier and expansion, so there is zero loss in the process of catching up.
I burned out last year and stopped playing for almost 6 months. Became the Extreme Synced ShB and Bozja teacher of my (Former) FC (was sort of thrust upon me). Spent as long as two months in The Southern Front and Zadnor leading whole party's through all 3 DNG's and quest content. Then spammed Crown of Immaculate for a bunch of party's (Never got a good roll out of 4 prog groups and never got the mount :l (The music note for that Extreme is called "Insanity" which is what I was going through pretty much)) and then turned the game off and walked away to play a bunch of other games on my backlog. Came back fresh and been enjoying other stuff the game has to offer. But not leaving the Doman Enclave for two months scarred me. I have 900 normal Bozja coins just sitting in my inventory...
I think it's a bit contradictory wanting to do Loporrits but not doing them when they're released. Beast Tribes cannot be grinded, they have to be done through dailies only and they take a month to complete them, there is no shortcut around that. I'm fine with the relic not being a grindfest since the current PvE isn't fun enough to be grindable, I rather would grind a Hildibrand Spin-Off Game (if it's like the 6.35 Solo Instance) for the relic than spamming Shinten like a Bitch! But Seriously that Hildibrand Solo Instance was the Best (most fun) Experience I've ever had in Endwalker.
Well I think the concept is that though they still need to be grinded a bit, the grind is very minimal I think in less than two weeks you hit pretty much max reputation. Furthermore, unlike in other games, it is evergreen content in that if you can start it, drop it, and continue it anytime you want.
@@coolyeh1017 hmm the thing is, at least for me that grinding is more trucking through a bulk to get to the goal faster and that isn't possible with beast tribes since there only are the daily quests, but it's true that it's a *Goodway* to lvl up^^
i played for about 6years straight from ARR was a crap casual who learned to play during stormblood clearing all 4 tiers in all 3 raids then walked into shb eden's gate quickly found a fantastic group where we had a lot of fun and cleared tier 4 in week 1 my first time ever then we went into TEA on release and was something like one of the first 20 clears then people from the group gave up the game and then when the new raid started i just couldnt be bothered having to look for a new group again so ended up quitting. Though i just started again a couple weeks ago after 5years and im quite enjoying the game again and looking forward to DawnTrail
The question is why does she feel the need to make content and stream the same game everyday (or close to it)? Just don’t turn your stream on, log in or don’t do your dailies or whatever you want then log off. She might actually hate all the drama but she’s kinda putting herself out there too.
Oke ye just don't show up for work and don't pay your bills easy pz. Lmfao kind of a blind take seeing as you don't get that streaming is her job and ff was the main drive for her audience. I'm glad she can now also play other stuff and do fine but to tell her to just not stream is a bit of a dumb take when it's literally how she pays for everything in her life.
Then she should try a different profession if she doesn’t like this one. Hoping people donate to you while you play video games is not the best way to make a living.
I'm surprised that people can even play a game like XIV every single day for multiple years or almost a decade. I always resub for every expansion, big patch or sometimes smaller patch if the content seems interesting and even that takes a bunch of time and can be exhausting at times to keep up with certain daily or weekly content. I can't imagine not playing a bunch of other games inbetween. And the people insantly accusing streamers of quiting the game just because they take a small break or making fun of them for "only" doing the same fight 8 hours a day are jsut crazy. These people should really start streaming 12+ hours a day + raiding and see how long they last.
Yeah I don't think "one game Andy" is a viable way to play video games ever. Not a single video game is good enough to be the only thing you ever touch. That's like watching 1 movie over and over for the rest of your life, or only reading 1 book. I haven't done much this patch, mostly because I've been playing the hell out of Zelda. Once I'm done with that I'll hop on, do patch content, then get back to reading some books I still need to finish. Plus, it's summer guys. Go camping, go out somewhere nice to eat, do anything lmao.
The wizard game? Lol get over it. It's called Hogwarts and all that is has to do with Harry Potter is it is in the same universe. There is an Indian dude, in Europe, in the 1800's. There is an actual trans character and you can pick your pronouns. They tried to make it inclusive and you guys still shit on it without knowing a thing about it.
@Cosette Fauchelevent I'm perfectly fine. It's a valid reaction to someone who is so offended by a game that they have to call it the wizard game. Don't try to be coy either. We all know it's referred to as the wizard game because a group of people got their panties in a bunch.
I can understand the feeling, I had back shb was as i was in endgame was trying to find other things to do level up crafters and gathers, doing extreems for older expansions for mounts, i end up burning myself out on trying to do it. it just hours on hours of doing it to point i didn't have urge to do it or play for 3-4 months cause i had fried my self on going way overboard on stuff.
She talks about how she doesn't want to just talk about drama and... Not even a month ago she outright said she was playing the wizard game *to make drama*. If she couldn't find drama, she was gonna make it and found out that being the center of drama isn't as fun as talking about it from the sidelines.
10:45 i feel like after trying out other MMOs after I finally realized WoW is just not for me anymore (for many reasons), I noticed that pretty much every mmo respects your time EXCEPT world of warcraft. What I mean is that every MMO I've tried, GW2, ESO, FFXIV, BDO, they don't really force you to keep playing year round to stay relevant, the catchups are almost instantaneous (except BDO that one is just a grind fest so doesn't matter when you leave you have an inifnite grind ahead of you), and you don't feel that far behind from the current content. yea FFXIV has issues with gearing up all your alt jobs, but trust me, after you play wow, that issue is so minute... in FFXIV you are looking at like 10ilvls of difference from the easy to get and the time gated items, in WoW you are looking at 30-50 ilvls of gear difference between when you start patch and when you end it...
Not surprised, X.3 patches are usually mid. Sure, we get the finale of an expansion story, but other than that it's all catch up content with some okay stuff sprinkled in. However, this is when expansion fatigue always comes in, and sometimes we get tired of doing the usual "collect tome stones" stuff we've been doing since 2.0 launch. Also doesn't help that 6.3 wasn't the finale of 6.0 like normal expansions, since it's a new story and the finale obviously isn't coming until 6.5. So I don't blame Zepla here, there's not much to do here for now.
Yeah, people forget that this isn't just a normal between-expansion lull, its a lull before an entirely new chapter in the game. I get the feeling a lot of the spared effort we're seeing right now is going towards the graphics overhaul and making sure the next expansion meets expectations.
I feel everyones feeling meh about EW, I blame the longer patch cycles. We can cry about the quality of the content but the fact its around longer really makes it feel like nothing is happening in the game.
Kind of in the same boat. Been playing for 6 years straight and just looking to quit and play other stuff for awhile. I think EW base has been great, but it has felt like a pretty hollow expansion without a Bozja or eureka zone.
8 hours a day is hardcore, I don’t care who you are. I don’t blame her for burning out, that’s crazy. I hope she gets the rest she needs. This is a game, it’s not worth losing mental health over, that’s ridiculous.
the fight is really hard but the hardest parts are towards the back half, basically. and there are no checkpoints. so you and 7 other people have to be perfect for a long time. I'm also not sure if she blind progg'd DSR, blind progging an ultimate is a whole different thing
@@irogt you also remember that this step is to last for about 3-4 months till the next X.x5 patch. So if you just do half of the dailies for three months or so, you will get all 19 relics by the time the next step comes out.
@@coolyeh1017 Oh for sure. That's why i said it's just as easy as the last step. I've been doing the new deep dungeon and have consequently completed 4.
Kinda glad ToP is the last ultimate for a while. Progging this fight is mentally exhausting. DSR never made me feel sick in my stomach. Kinda sad I was really hyped for this fight now i just can’t wait to be done with it.
Eight hours is hella hardcore... my static raids six hours a week (two nights, three hours a piece), and it's still a bit too much for me, but we clear all the same - just not as quickly.
TOP just feels a lot weaker than the previous 2 in terms of music, interesting lore and visuals. I don't think it's bad but it lacked on some things the other fights had. Oh and could definitely have use 1 or two more small cutscenes to give people a break earlier in the fight.
TOP was just obviously rushed. it's just boring. P1 is two mechanics, 90% of p2 you stand still, and Hello world in P3 over stays its welcome. You get really hard mechanics and boring execution, the worst of both worlds. The fight doesn't get enjoyable until p4. DSR was a masterpiece of difficulty and presentation. Saving haurchefaunt and going back in time to an alternate timeline made people feel envious of those who were doing the fight. No one feels that way about top. This might be a hot take but I'd rather take 1 ultimate an expansion that's carefully crafted and has a ton of detail put into than have two rushed ultimates that just exist for the sake of difficulty. DSR shows that ultimates can be more than just really hard mechanic grinds. DSR was also seen as the static breaker on release but it's gonna age so much better than TOP will. I just hope they learn for 7.1
I feel it been playing every day since 2.0 12 hours a day and I'm really starting to be like blah I'm bored what do I do raid lock outs ps done ultimate done relic for every class it's just to much
8 hours of anything straight will drain people. My FC has done 8 hours of Maps straight, and that was exhausting, so the idea that 8 hours of raiding wouldent be is silly to me. Thats gotta take some fortitude.
Zepla has such a strange accent. Like it legitimately changes throughout her videos, sometimes changing from minute to minute. I'm not sure if she does it for entertainment purposes or what, but it always throws me off
i cleared top very late in the expantion (i still didnt clear my first savage when top came out so i didnt touch when it did) when i finnaly got to it i raided everyday from when i woke up to when i went to sleep (started with a static for 4 months 6h a week up until p4 and got kicked for privet resones not prog stuff) and fml this fight was shit progging it in pf and killing it there was absolotly misrable i stayed up from 1pm till 6am almost everyday and it was just shit as a first ulti clear
You are correct that week one fights are completely different. Before that the only ones that test the fights are people with a 15 ms ping (Squarenix testers). For this reason you often get a patch the same week. You got people who already have an experience on what the fight entitles deciding is a good fight. I would argue that week one is the only time you know if you are good at the game or just a pretender, following someone else recipe. I love the chaos. I love that there is not already someone telling (this is the way you should be doing the fight). I love figuring things out on my own. And I really love when a whole party does the same. I hate week 2 precisely because someone else already figure out how to do the fight, and publishes it on TH-cam, then everyone else wants to do it that way. No more chaos. Just boring predictability.

I watched DSR and have no interest doing it until a few expansions through UPR if I even do it. The fight looks well build and quite fun but it looks hellish to prog. UCOB/UWU/TEA all felt great and I've only cleared 2 of them. I have zero interest in TOP, even though I really liked Omega.
she says raiding is her priority but built her whole thing with the social aspect, sitting in circle with others and talking. the ultimate clear ego man suddenly everything is not for her anymore lol
Explain to me how ego has anything to do with not wanting to participate in social aspects of a game your burned out on? Besides the whole ego statement is weird and gen comes from turbo casual players
The devs literally say play a different game if FFXIV gets boring between patches or you need/want a break and people still don't get it on their own... especially the wow refugees.
I raid 6 hours a week and already get burnt out sometimes because that's my main reason to log on and it's a struggle to fit in school with the other parts of the game that interests me. Also haven't done roulettes or finished a wonderous tails book for months hehe. So boring.
I never understood why people make it a big deal when they decide to take a break from a game. Especially if you played said game religiously for about seven years. I mean, you’re human and it happens. Even Yoshi P said it’s okay to take a break from the game. I’m just wondering why people have to make such a big deal about it like making a grandiose statement about it, etc. Just saying. Take a break! You need it! Just….this is getting a bit overblown for what it’s actually worth imo.
Man I feel older than what I am, I find funny that back at Alexander Gordias 3 savage, Xeno's guide was the go to guide everyone was using. Anyways, Final fantasy 14 burnout is real, the game is amazing despite everyone agreeing to disagree on many things, overall no MMO rpg nowadays will give you this experience. We can moan and complain, but that's the reality. The good thing is that his game was made so you can take a break for as long as you want and come back and gear up fast. Finally, those who do Ultimates and still play the game on daily basis doing weekly savage clears and other content are insane lol.
SE doesn't give old player any goal, there is not point for old player to log in. You can get tiny little collection here and there, but what is the endgame? It would be nice to have a milestone mount once you collect certain amount of mounts. Wow has a lot of problems but the old players always comes back because they have that milestone mount. Let's be honest, if you play ffxiv for a long time you know that there is nothing at the end beside that stupide mentor icon and some glams here and there.
FFXIV has many interesting rewards based on achievements but the incentive to pursue your goals is not there. For a while i logged in just to play some PVP matches. I would like to see V&C with better rewards too and see my iLVL having more impact beyond Hunts. Crafter relics has some procs, probably they will change a few things in the future.
I mean, the game is legit designed for people to take breaks, that's how Square intended it (where they even go and say you should take breaks from the game). It's not a bad thing to stop from time to time and do other things.
Unless you have a house, then it has a stranglehold on your balls. But tbh the whole take a break mentality will eventually lead to a lot of people "taking a break" and just never returning, esp. after endwalker finished the story and has been underwhelming ever since 6.1.
@@glaedth yeah , i feel right now we are slowly reaching that point , but the ff14 community is good at burying their head in the ground like ostriches

I stopped playing for a few months, uninstalled Windows, swapped to Linux and now I play again but on Linux, stopping playing doesn't mean forever unless you want it to
Honestly, a lot of this "drama" has been always around, it is just that in recent times they involved content creators and para-socials. The drama with Wave vs. Dice is your typical static drama, but they happen to have a content creator who sided with the wrong party (well the gaslighting) , the lala chair thing is just some people being stupid and forcing their preconceptions on to others, etc. The ones I think are "legit" drama are those that can affect all the players such as the recent cheating drama in TOP or the billboard advertising an RP venue with data mined assets, since Square can come in and "fix-it."
Its like this in any game theres like zero game with a live service that lunches new content weekly you can talk about. Players will always finish content fast than you can make it. This crap even happens in mobas only so much you can talk about before same old shit over and over. Sadly comes point when a content creator got to diversify and become a variety content creator be still with in a said category but cant drip the same one game dry. Ovs some content creators out there that can but most that stuff fuelled by game modding community like Minecraft good example. I sorta learned first hand 6 years ago on this matter when I made content and streamed a game I loved for years just ran out things to say and got burnt out. You basically got to try other things make content on that while taking bit of breaks from main game. For me the game i loved closed down and life happened so never continued. But yeah taking breaks is good i been playing FF14 as well from 1.0 all to now and i take 9 months breaks at times cuss of burnout play other mmos and do same with them. But recently i been trying play mmos less try other solo games in the more indie category. And yeah once hit skill and content ceiling the game really becomes a snooze fest Its sort of a big problem in MMOs single player games. Only games sort handle this well is anything with a solid PvP as skill ceiling is the other players not content. But even PVP can have its problems ie P2W and cheating as makes the game like whats the point playing when its not about who has better skill.
Basically Zepla wants to play other Anime games she missed out on like Genshin Impact. Seriously though it’s way more fun to switch between games then play the same game everyday for years on end.

Guys how did we end up in the timeline where Xeno is trying to convince Zepla to RP in FFXIV?
It astounds me how she can say "I didn't think it (burn out) would happen to me" and follow it up immediately with "I was playing FFXIV nonstop all day everyday for 6-7 years" lmao
That was the dumbest thing I heard in awhile
I mean, if you're playing something nonstop for more than a year, it's more likely that you would've burnt out much earlier. so it probably wouldn't happen already
most people burn much earlier then 6-7 years, like many people can't even nonstop more then one year.
The point is shes been doing that for like 7 years. at that point you might think maybe, JUST MAYBE this burnout thing isnt happening to me
It doesn't take 7 years for the average person to burn out lol, so yeah if I played a game for 7 years straight I wouldn't expect to burn out either.
I don't even get 8 hours of sleep so raiding 8 hours straight seems insane to me.
I’m convinced that the people making fun of raiding for “only 8 hours” don’t have jobs
it is, people that do it honestly hate themselves
@@legalizemarinara bruh how do these people laugh at “only 8hrs” 😂
I work odder hours than normal so even getting a raid group outside of hitting up aussies is straight up impossible. However, if she thinks she can keep the same people engaged with that phone app she is playing she will find out that's not going to happen.
I mean what else are they gona talk about?
Because people keep asking in chat if she quit 14, that's why. Asmon everytime he streams as someone asking if he quit for good, and he's not a FF14 streamer, imagine one playing the game for 6-7 years.
Have you seen Xeem's non-14 uploads? No one else has either. xffing
Yep his ex3 guide was so good
I got burnt out on Genshin, finally joined a friend in FF14 around the end of Shadowbringers, got obsessed with it, then recently got burnt out again last patch and I'm back in Genshin, catching up on the last 2 years of content, which has been very good. I do wanna get back into FF14, but right now I'm kinda busy with other things. It's aight though. I'll be back eventually.
Will someone PLEASE tell her to just call it "14"
I've been playing since 2010 and never felt like quitting the game, but my attitude towards it varies from "OMG I'm so hyped about this new thing that I'll literally take a day off work to play it blind right away!!" to "This content has been in the game for 7 years now and I still haven't done it, I don't dislike it but I'm also not motivated to log on just for that".
I know as a content creator people expect her reaction to literally EVERYTHING that exists in the game and its community, but like, it's normal to not always be equally excited for everything, and content creators are no exception to that...?
thats the fine line between gamer and content creator.

Zepla actually did go to an FFXIV nightclub. Me and some of her viewers went and it was fun. Kind of a one and done thing tho.
Dsr was a boring mess thats why it felt likte an hour long fight
I heard from some of my JP colleagues, it seems that the devs are purposefully loosening the grindy content due to the fact that in japan they are shifting back the workstyle from WFH to WFO. The workload is insanely high too now compared to the pandemic few years back. The devs are respecting the working community of JP players and indirectly told them to focus on work, you won't missing anything much this patch.
Good! Who needs to run yet another set of 100 laps to get a glam weapon. Good!
damn I knew the JP community was a mysterious special exclusive club but I didnt know that just being Japanese means you can read Yoshidas and other devs mind and have secret knowledge for their motivations and changes that they havent revealed to the playerbase. Sounds kinda BS but hey your colleague said it and he's JAPANESE so clearly he must be right 🙄
Not Japanese here, but I was hardcore raider during the pandemic, until WFO happened again and I don’t think I can raid anymore with my work schedule 🥲

As some one who was new to savage content organizing a static was awful. I just gave up on organizing a static. I went through so many party members, because of no shows or flaky people. So I just ended up PFing it. Im happy to keep grinding away at a game, thats easy, but trying to organize a static is a real pain.
One time I tried making static,
some have way far more time than the others progged more in pf and feels like the others slowing him down. another one suddenly so busy irl, another don't feel like doing it atm.
Are we still having problems calling it Hogwarts Legacy?
@@Rayhaku808 Nah, it's more that "Hogwarts" is a godawful name for a video game, calling it 'Wizard Game" is more dignified.

You say that like it's some kind of revelation and not common sense.
It also defeats the purpose of a game.
People really going to say that 8 hours a day isn't hardcore... bruh that's a full time job.
Not interested in Zepla. When baldie gonna play witcher 3?
900 coins is actually nothing unfortunately, it's maddening how much augmented sets need

I have played FFXIV since 2010, and I still do, difference is I play other games, there is no reason to burn yourself out like that
I think it's a bit contradictory wanting to do Loporrits but not doing them when they're released.

That's the sane way to do it
8 hours a day is a third of a day. A lot of jobs are 8 hours shifts. Raiding for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week is literally a full time job.

@@UTO7 probably because there is so much new people in the game right now.
I feel everyones feeling meh about EW, I blame the longer patch cycles. We can cry about the quality of the content but the fact its around longer really makes it feel like nothing is happening in the game.
We’re waiting longer for less content, ofc people aren’t gonna like that
Kind of in the same boat.
She shouldn’t force herself to raid too hard over and over. There’s still several content to do
i don't raid any more on ffxiv but i'm familiar with the concepts - what makes TOP different from DSR in terms of prog?
the fight is really hard but the hardest parts are towards the back half, basically. and there are no checkpoints. so you and 7 other people have to be perfect for a long time. I'm also not sure if she blind progg'd DSR, blind progging an ultimate is a whole different thing
it's like people forgot they weren't making another zone since they made island sanctuary lol
TOP static disbanded like 3 weeks ago and no motivation to find a new one, the fight just feels bad all around
only 57,000 tomes to get all 19
The previous step was considered easy, and it was just about the same amount. I think you just got your first one free.
I like how each time you unpause she says what you already said almost word for word
I just hope they learn for 7.1
I feel it been playing every day since 2.0 12 hours a day and I'm really starting to be like blah I'm bored what do I do raid lock outs ps done ultimate done relic for every class it's just to much
If you raid the equivalent hours of a full time job, that’s sounds pretty hardcore to me
8 hours of anything straight will drain people.
I'm not sure if she does it for entertainment purposes or what, but it always throws me off
fav ffxiv streamer and content creator.. been following since binding coil my man
i cleared top very late in the expantion (i still didnt clear my first savage when top came out so i didnt touch when it did) when i finnaly got to it i raided everyday from when i woke up to when i went to sleep (started with a static for 4 months 6h a week up until p4 and got kicked for privet resones not prog stuff) and fml this fight was shit progging it in pf and killing it there was absolotly misrable i stayed up from 1pm till 6am almost everyday and it was just shit as a first ulti clear
She stopped as cactbot probably broke for her
You are correct that week one fights are completely different.
9:45 im soglad people start to talk about it . there are so much freaking drama when it comes to ff14 but a lot of people just try to make ti seems like there is no problem. im soglad more and more people start to talk about it, it kinda tells me i wasnt crazy all these years when i was agruing against other people about it and they were bullying me about it everytime i brought it up. i was freaking right all along
Yoshi p can pull a umbrella in limsa this man will react to it😂😂
i quit wow for 14 and fr 2 years played 14 nearly daily and suddely just burnt out after p8 . Havent logged in in over a month and lost my house and havent felt bad.
Bro Zepla legit wrote an entire Book of Grudges holy shit.
She play a Viera but she's a dwarf at heart, no two ways about it
Let her raid with you. Show her da way.
There's goes the old,
Now comes the new.
I wonder who is gonna replace her?
Rin
I've only seen the occasional recommended youtube video from her, and they've all be supremely unfunny, so based on that it can only go up.
@@chstens i dont really appreciated too, but her name still valued for some for some reason??? probably simps ?
@@michaeltorres2184 I think it is because she is a legacy content creator in the FFXIV sphere. She also got a lot of attention during the WoW refugee era.
Probably just another unfunny egirl for guys to simp over.
TOP was a raider killer. Same with P8S, know people who just were like I'm not touching this shit in PF again after they cleared.
💀im just gonna unsync p8s for the glam when the new tier is out… i skipped this tier,
she says raiding is her priority but built her whole thing with the social aspect, sitting in circle with others and talking. the ultimate clear ego man suddenly everything is not for her anymore lol
So boring.
anyone know why the chat was just complaining the whole time that he was reacting to this? they seemed more interested in the lala chair lmao
Are these people making a big deal in the room with us right now?
It's a bit different when you pay your bills doing it. Surely that isn't hard to understand either but yet here we are.
Your head lined up perfectly with zeplas hair. It looked majestic like Tormund from GOT
8 hours per day full time job. I would consider that hella hardcore, giving up making money to raid… much respect. Though my filthy casual ass will take making guac 🥑 and watch the hardcore guys do the good deed.
I stopped playing for a few months, uninstalled Windows, swapped to Linux and now I play again but on Linux, stopping playing doesn't mean forever unless you want it to
I think that after the boy bunny’s and ending the msq, it has just been downhill. Now we are back to where we were back in arr.
When she pulled out the Bible of Failure I died LMAO.
All the drama lately is wild, people sure are bored asf.
Feels like I can follow tune into any FFXIV streamer to catch up on all of them when I've been away. I actually love it. 😆
