Your hair was just wonderful! Even while camping looking good is important! I think you have, or had, a great time travelling around. The food looks amazing!
As a swiss person I would definitely agree. All the Alps nations have great scenery. France, Italy, Austria, Slovenia all have theirs. I'd say where Switzerland does well is infrastructure and accessability. You can get anywhere by public transport and you're never really further from a major city than 1h or 2h with all the amenities. So that's nice. But it does come at a price that may not be worth it for most. For skiing I can recommend France. Summer holidays are just fine in any of these nations.
If you have the chance to stop, and you haven't been there already, one place I would recommend seeing is Auvers-sur-Oise, where Vincent van Gogh lived for a little while.
Oh yes, Haute-Savoie region is a dream! I worked in Megève just after college. This mountain village is only about a one to two hour car drive from Annecy and I highly recommend checking that out whilst your are in the area. There are incredibly beautiful hikes with the Mont Blanc practically in front of you. Lots of love to your adorable daughters and of course the two of you from Cologne. Miriam
One of my favorite spots in France and it's absolutely family-friendly. You will be overwhelmed when get to Scandinavia, Norway with its beautiful inlets and Sweden with the legendary Skårs and hundreds of cristalclear lakes. I sent you some recommended spots in Sweden on your Patreon site, as I traveled across Sweden with a Campervan various times.
So fun to see a comment here as well as on our Patreon!! Thanks so much for the support 🫶 We absolutely loved how family friendly Annecy was too! Give us a lake though and we are quite content. 😊
@@OurStorytoTell thanks for making Annecy even more popular than it already is :D - its still on my list to visit though. Btw maybe next time you can combine both worlds and go to Romanie (french part of Switzerland). I wonder how you like it there. i also wonder how much less expensive Annecy is compared to Romanie
Hi guys, just back from the windy, cold and rainy northern part of europe and nice to see you travelling to such sunny and beautifull places. Thanks for enriching the list of possible travel destinations. Enjoy your time together. CU
Thanks for watching! We loved it! Our campsite had shade almost the whole day so it was great! We went mid June and it was mid 80s (F). Not bad at all! We loved Annecy so much & would highly recommend the campsite 😊
Savoy (Haute Savoie) so nice.- i remember the route from Montreux/Lausanne ( Lac Leman Switzerland ) to Chamonix (Montblanc) as a very , very scenic route.
Hi from salt lake I can't believe your in that beautiful town in France and its not completely packed and on a weekend.!! Here you can't go anywhere without No parking and it's packed. Anywhere we go in a weekend anywhere here in Utah it is so full. Stay in Europe I know you would hate it here.😮
We are actually from the salt lake area!! 😂 Our family lives there so we don’t hate it, but they also live in a small town outside of it. So fun to hear we are here and you’re in our home state!
I envy you! When I was living in Geneva, we used to go for shopping spree days to either Annecy (mostly in summer) or Lyon. Annecy was always my favorite! I am so glad you are having a good time! And lol about the 200 gram thing. When every supermarket in Germany still had a deli meat and cheese counter, the "Darf´s ein bisschen mehr sein?" question was standard in Germany, too. Also, I must apologize! I owe you an email and I will get to it, I promise. We just had the most stressful time in June and early July and then got sick, so I am behind with absolutely everything.
@@OurStorytoTell O ok. It's my life's goal to live in the alps! I'm trying to get a work visa and bring my wife and kids. It's my dream! Thanks for info and wish your family the best
I NEED advice. I'm trying to plan our 5th wedding anniversary, and I can't decide between Switzerland, Portugal, and now France. We love the outdoors and small village, etc. What do you recommend for overall experience?!
Oh man this is a tough question! What time? If it’s soon then I would say summer or France so temps are too hot! You could always do a little mixture of Switzerland and France?? That sounds amazing!
We camped to cut down costs drastically! Also all of our activities were free other than eating. It can definitely be expensive but you can also find ways to make it affordable. We understand we are very lucky to live close enough to drive there though too!
Too late, to show you the secret way to enter Switzerland. St. Julian en Genevoise, no passport needed, cause no one on duty. Please visit rock maze near Wunsiedel/Luisenburg. Stay safe
The four cutest musketeers I've ever seen visiting France. I'm happy to follow you on journey through life and getting all these experiences.
Aww thanks so much!! We love having you join them!

Hey thank you!! 😊 Means a lot you’re watching!
Love European bakeries! What an adventure. Beautiful countryside! I really enjoy your videos and can't wait for the next one😃❤️
They can’t be topped!! 😋😋
Great video! Annecy is on my bucket list. Your little one is so cute and Willa has grown so much!
We hope you can visit it one day! 😊

Such a great comment! We want to experience the alps in the winter! That’s one thing we haven’t really gotten the chance to do!

How amazing Miriam!! So cool you did that! We can’t wait for you to watch our next video to see about our experience.
This looks beautiful! So many places to visit... It looks like our visit on the Cote D'Azur will just scratch the surface 🙂
That’s true, but you will love it so much though! 😊

Hey friend!! 😊 We were so surprised at how beautiful Annecy was! Truly a gem! No worried about the email. We just hope you guys are feeling better 😊
What did you have to do to move there?
We moved to Germany through Tanners job for the US government :)
