I do believe its required. However the rules may have changed since my freshman year. Some people come into their freshman year with enough college credits to classify as a Sophomore in order to get out of that and also bring their car.

Yes born and raised. I love FAMU. However the out of state tuition is very high so look into scholarships, grants, and waviers.
