As web designers, we can admire the elegance of Apple's product pages, but 3D is notoriously tricky. And even if you have the models, integrating them with your website involves hiring a specialist to whip up some custom code. Until now, Webflow has just announced native integration with Spline, a web-based 3D model. That means you can create interactions in animations of 3D objects within Webflow's visual designer. Let me show you how easy it is to make an apple-like design.

I did this 2 years ago
So many Webflow sites are already through the roof with page weight, this will only amplify the problem
Takes much time to load, could be better, but still awesome addition to webflow!
But does it has a Long loading time as before? when You just embeded this as HTML in eebflow
Amazing video!! My question is if we design a higher quality 3D model outside of Spline, then import it to Spline to retrieve the URL to use in Webflow, will Spline cause the 3D model to lose its quality? Or will it keep the quality?
You will maintain the quality but I suggest to maintain a low number of polygons because if not will take a whole life loading
Who's going to try this out? 👋
Yeah dude, killer!
Webflow basically took out low to mid range developer jobs. You're either now a dev in huge company, tiny cog or use wordpress for cheaper solutions and webflow for hi-end solutions. The "web designer" position is pretty much eliminated.
