"Young adventurer, beyond the snowy hills and the thick dark storms is the great cathedral, where the mysteries and your greatest fears come true. God abandoned his creations in that place, wisdom must be by your side because if not, death will be unfair to you and limbo will have you in its clutches. " " Why does the great king of the hill suffer so much? Is it because love didn't come to him, did it kill him? Yes, did God punish him? And it is.Infamous and insensitive king, deceitful and loser, blessed are the demons that punish those who enter, the light is against mortals, run or die bastard. " By the way, this piece of art is the best I've ever heard! The best!
Love the vampiric essence to this music, the powerful and haunting effect that it brings too. The consistent flow in the melodies, and the characteristics brought out through their structure as well.
I freaking love the castle painting, and the organ instrument absolutely beautiful... well done!. Would love to see a video talking about what inspires you to create such a masterpiece.
A great dungeon theme: tense, emotional, epic at parts, almost creepy at other parts. Certainly very fitting of a haunted or undead-infested cathedral. It seems you've broken it into parts almost like what Co.AG does with some of his songs. You have the first section with the party walking up to the entrance, one where they are immediately inside, one possibly in the crypts, etc. Overall I get the sense of a dark, supernatural event taking place at this cathedral that needs to be stopped. Most likely a ritual. Perhaps a necromancer or cult is doing the usual dark magic shenanigans, or maybe the avatar of a goddess of Death, Murder and The Night is about to appear and raise all the world's dead. Another thing I like about this piece, is how well it fits with the harpischord version you link at the end of the video, now that I listen to it. The two could potentially be used as a dynamic soundtrack for an area, like what they do in OboroMuramasa, Odin Sphere and even Kingdom Hearts. The same could be said about your "Templum Maleficus" piece and its piano version, which is part of the reason I like that one so much. Overall, another great piece. Very well done.
Excelente composición en re menor. El organo es tan imponente como la catedral de la pintura, y el clavicembalo, el fagot, el oboe, la flauta, la campana te invitan a entrar y .....Gracias, me gusta mucho. 🙏
It was freezing cold. Cynthias nose was covered with a layer of ice, and snow was falling. She could hardly see anything, and had no idea, where she was.She had lost her way long ago in this blizzard. Occasionally a dim light flickered trough the thick clouds of snow. She moved towards it, for it was her only chance to survive the night. And she reached it. An old castle, which looked a bit like a cathedral (at least as dark). Only one single window in a tower was illuminated. When she entered the main door, a girl in servant dress greeted her. "Hell of a weather out there. I will get dry clothes and a bed ready, you must be frozen to the bones." So she was. The servants spare dress (all the girl could find) and the sizzling hot tea were a gift from heaven. "Oh no, your gown is soaking wet too!" And gone was the girl. Soon she returned with cake and the gown, which was dry now. "We have a ball tonight, starting soon. Shall I help you to get dressed?" Cynthia agreed, and soon regretted it. The servants hands were colder than the snow outdoors. It felt like every touch made her blood freeze in the veins. After this was done, the servant looked at her with big eyes. "Wonderful. His lordship will be amused, he likes surprise guests on his parties." Her face was pale with a hint of blue, and she was very thin. Looked like she had a silver poisoning, perhaps from syphilis treatment. When they reached the ballroom, it was already very crowded. With her white and yellow gown, Cynthia looked like a lighthouse in a moonless dark night. She was the only blonde. The other guests were all dressed in dark colors. And they looked as ill as the servant girl. Thin, pale, a bit blue. While she danced wit them, she made an other observation: All of them had freezing cold hands. "Whatever this is" Cynthia thought, "seems to be endemic here. Better no erotic adventures." While she danced with a man in a worn off frock, she was led to a mirror wall. This guy looked quite young despite his snow white hair and his paper-like skin. They did not dance like ill or poisoned people. Not at all. Whatever was wrong with them, it did not lower their endurance. She needed a rest. At the wall, there was a bench. She walked towards it, and could not decide if she should be proud or ashamed of her striking bright gown. With her in the foreground, the other guests in their black and dark grey clothes seemed to be invisible. No, wait. What the hell... They were invisible. In the mirror, Cynthia just saw herself, the bench and an empty ballroom.
There they were, at the gates of the Castle of Night. After all that they had been through, they were finally here. The journey had been long and difficult, but the hardest obstacle to overcome was that inside was the man they had once known as a friend. A man who had lost everything, taken by the Gods. A man who had lost his sanity to his fury and had taken his revenge against the Gods responsible for his suffering. Alas he was not the same man that they had once known, and he needed to be removed from his throne of sin, hatred, and darkness. They pushed open the doors and began their onslaught, pushing through hundreds of soldiers of darkness, making their way to the throne room, where they would find him, waiting for a worthy challenge
During a storm, you enter the castle of Stormholme Manor and two grand doors stand before you in the foyer; and as you approach, they open to reveal the grand hall of a magnificent ballroom. You look around and see dusty draperies, candelabras mounted on the walls and a giant chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and everything is covered in cobwebs. You begin to see ornate masquerade masks of all colors lined up in rows side-by-side on the floor, and then you discover a phonograph on a table in one of the corners of the hall and you begin to operate it, by turning the crank all the way and placing the needle on the record. Suddenly, you begin to here the harpsichord of the castle’s theme and slowly, you begin to see the masks float into the air to gather into the center of the hall, while the lights dim to make the hall dark. As you listen to the music, you begin to see ghostly lights emerge from the masks as they’re dancing; the music increases to where the organ begins to recite the score, to the masks form as ghostly apparitions of dancers; and the chandelier begins to weep sparkling lights like a snowfall of starlight. You dance to the music and start to feel thirsty; so you take a seat at the dining table of 30 seats. The table is set up with plates without food, unused silverware and empty wineglasses. Even though there was no food on the plates or drinks in the glass, you begin to drink from the glass and feel liquid enter your mouth and down your throat and feel refreshed; the same thing happens when you eat off the empty plate. As the music slows down, you walk to a window sash and pull back the drapes. The storm has passed revealing sunshine and everything went silent and back to normal as you realize the party was your imagination. You exit from the entrance of the castle and find a folded slip of paper in front of you. It was not there when you came into the castle; you unfold it to find out there was words on it. Here’s what it said: “Thank you for enjoying our masquerade dinner party, we enjoyed having you as a guest! Hurry back again sometime!”
Ok I know it's probably a coincidence but, Dark *Castle* Music ~ Stormholme *Cathedral* and Dark *Cathedral* Music ~ Draycia *Castle* ,means at least to me that in my head cannon of the stories of these songs, these locations are somehow related.
@@RobertRussellComposer Ok so re-looking at Draycia I came up with this possible story, "In the land of Dracia there lies a castle within it there is only two figures of note, a women dressed in the traditional garb of a priestess of the region with a blindfold that speaks no words, but plays upon a piano music from an old cathedral and a king sitting upon the throne listening to the music of his childhood. Should any brave adventures talk to the king he shall impart them with a sorrowful tale of a young noble who fell in love with one of the priestesses from the Cathedral to the storm god, and how the priestess through her kindness managed to accidentally lead the noble on, until when she revealed that the priestesses of the cathedral may take no spouse, and he flew off into a rage sacrificing his very humanity to get back at the women who ensnared him, and as such he became a vampire. By doing so he managed to gain enough power to as the King says " *Seize the Night* " and reanimate the corpses of the dead within the hidden crypt of the cathedral once used to hold the bodies of the dead priestesses, as flying undead similar to the harpies of the storm god they worshiped. The king reveals that the nobles terror lasted for two years until it was finally put to a stop by the paladins of the church by sealing him the the hidden crypt; however before he was sealed the vampire cursed the land to an eternal storm of icy winds, and to this day no crops can grow and all who die when the land raise as undead. The king will beg for the adventures aid and should they choose to accept, tell them the only way to stop the curse is to take the knife held by the woman playing the song which the noble gave to the one he loved and plunge it into the vampire's heart to finally end him and the curse.
I ask this to any other music composer: 1. how long have you've been making music? 2. What was the DAW you've used? 3. Who were your inspirations? 4. What is your favorite musical genre? I assume it's music like this
1. 16-22 years, depending on your definition. 2. Cubase, but I don't think it would make any difference if I used another. 3. Too complicated to answer about myself. Probably lots of people in differing ways. 4. Ranking genres is too simplistic, I just like good music. The reason some music becomes my favourite is still a happy mystery to me. I talk more about these types of things in my Q&A's if you're interested. :)

Church organ, this instrument who represents the most dark music, with this artwork it’s just perfect ! 🖤🖤
