Thanks for the video, do you know of any work around for mapping a link for multiple urls but when we click on one link after other it should open in a new window, basically if I have a Dashboard and i have multiple links on it, if i click on one link and then I click on another link it’s opening another link on the same page as the previous link, please let me know of any workaround for this one, Thanks 😊
Hey Joel! Unfortunately I don't think you can do this. I believe each one will behave the same. However, I'm not completely sure of any workaround trick
Thanks for sharing this. Could you please make a video to create a benchmark comparison table with multiple metrics. Example region sales, last month sales, MOM comparison, revenue, last month revenue, MOM comparison
Hello there. This is amazig for learnig. I was just curious to know is it possible to swap one specific graph on a dashboard? I mean dashboard wont change, Only the specific graph by a "text button".?
Thank you very much for this video. when the dashboard is set to "automatic" my navigation button seems to move around the screen whereas if the dashboard is set to "fixed size" the navigation button stays in the correct location". could you please help?

Hey J, depends on the setup of your navigation buttons. But let me first answer the hiding question. When you publish a dashboard, there is an option in the dialogue box that comes up asking which sheets/dashboards you'd like to publish. These sheets and dashboards will still be part of the workbook, they just won't be published to Tableau Online. Btw, I have a FREE Tableau course now available on my website if you're interested! jellyman-education.thinkific.com/courses/getting-started-with-tableau
Such a useful video! Thanks! Quick q.. what's the best way to let users take a specific visual on your dashboard and turn it into a full screen version of just that element, e.g., a map?
The way I do this is just making tge individual sheets available when you publish to Tableau Online. As added functionality, you can add an image (such as an arrow) then make it into a button so they have something they can click on to take them to the fuller view.
Is there a way to click and navigate on a graph directly? Rather than using a floating button? My users have different screen sizes and the report size changes accordingly so the floating button moves all over the place which is not a great experience.
How to highlight or change colour of the selected navigation button? If there are 2 same buttons on 2 different dashboards. In order to identify which dashboard is currently open, the selected button should gets highlight. Any solution for that?
my LOD calculation makes dashboard crashing.. I did reduce data volume but still dashboard not working..Please see if you can make video to fix this problem
Hi I have query with the line chart. i wanted to create a running total of the cricket score using line chart but in the place of date i wanted to use overs. any possibility to do it. I am a student of your udemy course.

Hi Amitabh, generally speaking, no. Tableau is a visualization tool and does not create new data in the way that you can create data in Excel for example. However, you can do analysis such as What-If analysis world wildcard filtering which can alter views for your users. This is a cool feature, Thanks for the video. But how do I get this work without publishing Dashboard 2 & 3 to the tableau server ?
I guess you can't. They'll all need to be published from memory.
Ver nice video, it helps alot.

If you have created several dashboards, over 10, are you able to hide them when publishing and still have the navigation buttons work?
