It was a bit of oversimplification of how the world has become "fast". It depends on the amount of activity we take up on.
When I was in University, we always saw that Medical students preferred Hindi Cinemas, and we thought (a bit arrogantly) that they had horrible taste in movies (at that time, I memorised Matrix and Fight Club and acted a bit "bougie", as much is allowed in a public university arena). But my would be doctor friends explained that the amount of studying they have to do, they only want to be entertained without tiring their already tired brain, so they loved Hindi movies.
NOW you feel life has become fast because you choose to do a lot in a day. It can make you less available to creativity of others. Ayman Sadiq is definitely an extremely busy young man, so he can't just enjoy "art for art's sake". The world has not gotten any faster.
Young people nowadays try to memorise Korean lyrics and dance moves. Because they can afford to. Like we could afford to, once.

    Good point!
Jon you should upload in Facebook videos . Facebook has much more response and comments. The kind of discussion good and bad both can go more elaborately on facebook. Plus Facebook UI is more user friendly.
Podcasts in Facebook can be a new thing.
The video in video feature is also a plus in facebook. Which is not available in TH-cam(in our country). So the mindless scrolling can go on having the podcast running in the corner.

That's the classic Joh Kabir. Don't make Art to feed the public. Its an Art, so artists satisfaction have to be there as I learnt from that eye opening (at least for me) essay by Pramatha Chaudhuri and should be applied to any type of Art.

Wonderful podcast. Very genuine but I feel like there should be an intro music and a casual introduction of the guest. Lots of topics brought so much nostalgia... Golden days. ❤️
Ayman's suggestion about growing number of a song really reminds me of tame impala's youtube channel and what he does is just re-release a his songs again and again in oh so different versions and visuals. 🥰

It's weird because I experienced the same thing I like to listen to songs on Spotify and do other stuff and Spotify keeps playing songs and I just listen to them only for background music. Also If I like any of the songs I add them to a playlist. One day I wanted to check out a song called Distance By Boys Of Fall so I looked it up on TH-cam and I shocked to see the views it's around 100K suddenly I started judging a beautiful piece of art by analytics. It's still one of my favorite songs but I can feel some kind of an effect the analytics have on me ....
