I've grown edamame last summer. There's some fresh edamame that got sprouted in my pantry😂. Why don't I plant it? 😁 I plant it, got 6 planted on big container. I've harvest 2 bowl of edamame, got it steamed, my mom eat it all😅.
Great video, my sister loves edamame and with me now being very much into gardening, I think I’ll just grow some soybeans this year and offer them to her on her birthday next July😅 She prefers them steamed, thanks for sharing😉
Because the roots seem so shallow, I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt the plant if you were to plant more of them in the same space. It kinda reminds me of peas. I planted just a few in one large grow bed and I found out later that they love to be crowded. I will be planting them a lot more closely and more dense the next time around.
Thanks for the video. For some reason no stores have edamame for weeks so I'm growing my own. I'm going to try them in my tower garden (hydroponic garden) maybe I will get less disease like some of my other plant tend to be healthier
Thanks a lot,I planted mine in a place with little sun So her legs became very long, I don't know what to do now, the place I live has no sun light maybe 3 -4 hours a day
Hello! Incredible channel! I'm north of you in the Monterey area and would be really interested in what seeds you are planting this time of year! We've had such a warm weekend, I am thinking it's time to start planting. Thank you and sending best wishes for an abundant healthy garden.
I've been searching for any video about growing soya in the UK. The first search result was an Australian contributor, and from this channel name, I suspect this isn't in the UK either. I'm begining to think they don't grow well here.
Great video, but it definitely was very telling and eye opening when it comes to the overcompensation that tends to happen in the garden. All of these fancy things are not needed. For example the earth doesn’t produce perlite in the dirt, but lots of plants that are planted in soil that contains perlite do just as well, if not better, growing in random places in the ground! I have dramatically pulled back on buying commercial products for my garden. I only use what was given to me by the earth, and I compost/compost in place. It has been a game changer.

Just started mine a month ago and they are growing nicely. Thx for the video! Didn't think to try to air fry mine.
Glad I could help!

That is correct. And yes you can plant more closely
Thanks for this video. I tried growing in CA winter and wasn't too successful but will try again when its warmer.
Cant wait to grow some this spring! 😋 thanks for sharing that simple recipe
Great video! Thanks for showing the roots and explaining why you won’t be composting the plants, that was really helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Toss the spent plants to the chickens, if you have them?
Sowing seeds today. Can't wait for fresh pods!! Thanks for all the information

Thenx for the video im going to start my own farming business as I can not work a regular job no more
Great idea. All the best!
Thank you so much, great idea so I'll have to try. I'm afraid of all those bugs you mentioned so I'll get more Neem spray.
Nice garden and your videos inspire us to start one garden loke you. I have become your admirer and I will be proud to have you as my subscriber.
Thanks for the tips! What do you do with all the produce grown in your garden? Share with friends and family or sell?
We eat it all. Excess goes to neighbors!
is it necessary to pluck them from the soil? will they produce again if left in place (and healthy)

Thank you! I just bought neem oil ......how much dilution do you do? Thank you!
Follow the instructions on your container. It will have directions for dilution.
Follow recipe instructions on bottle or ask Google.
Every product is different, so follow the directions on the product label!
Thank you for this video. I am growing soybeans from your directions. At 4:22, did you say "warm tea"? Thank.
"Worm tea"
@@CaliforniaGardening Thank you for answering. I had never heard of this before.

what do you mean compost in place?
Did the spider mite and rust problem spread?
Not that I saw, but it can
If you plant some of the pods will new plants grow from those?
No you would have to save the dry seeds
I’d guess your water is alkaline..try a soil acidifier and I’m betting all your plants’ health and nutrient uptake will be better..
Great video
Should the seeds be treated with inoculant before sowing?
Not needed
Nice job
Masha Allah excellent work OK l' will give you gifts you can check
Hi can I use soya beans that bought from grocery to plant
Sure
very informative video
Would it be wise to collect healthy soy soil as a nitrogen supplement for other plants?
Yes you can!
Awesome
I there any difference between Indian Soybean Variety and Taiwan Variety? Can we use Indian Variety as an Edamame? waiting for your reply.
Yes the variety here is the common soybean used in most countries!
Can I get the seeds of edamame for sowing it on the farm?
I want to grow these beans to feed to my dubia roaches, so using a pesticide like neem oil is a big no no.
Where we find soyabean seed for farming.
You can buy it at most seed stores
is it true that around 90% of the soybean crop is used for oil?
Yes quite possible but when you grow it yourself, eat the beans, its super healthy
@@CaliforniaGardening some livestock farmers will say that soybean production is environmentally destructive.
what's your take on this?
Are soy beans nitrogen fixers?
Yes they are!
❤❤❤❤
sick looking plants.
Yes they had disease issues
you cant eat edamame raw
you ve been spraying the bean plant so often with chemicals. better not to garden at all.
You realize water is a chemical too right? 😂
Neem oil isn't dangerous in the least
great video
