- Daniel G. Nocera is the Patterson Rockwood Professor of Energy at Harvard University. Before joining Harvard, Nocera was on the faculty of MIT where he was the Henry Dreyfus Professor of Energy. He is widely recognized in the world as a leading researcher in renewable energy at the molecular level. He has recently accomplished a solar fuels process that captures many of the elements of photosynthesis and he has now translated this science to produce the artificial leaf (Innovation of the Year for 2011, Time Magazine). He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the Indian Academy of Sciences. He was named as 100 Most Influential People in the World by Time Magazine.
A new epoch, characterized by ecological, environmental integrity and economic balance might be possible through a decentralized carbon-neutral energy system. Daniel Nocera describes his incredible discovery: how to emulate photosynthesis, to store energy in water splitting and meet future global energy needs.

I want to see people like Dan and J Fresco and many more consolidate. Do seminars at colleges. Also search for the next president. In the herd you have to make the direction flow start.
I can't believe this was 6 years ago! carbon emissions have not yet decelerated and will not decelerate for probably a decade due to techno-economic inertia

I like the theory...a lot....but what about actually implementations....the how, when and cost to get this going. We need these ideas on the ground NOW...time is of the essence. The critical limiting factor of our current climate problems, from fracking, coal, nuclear, off shore, spills, pollution, global warming, wars over petrol, tar sands...you name it...we are in desperate need of solutions!
Does anyone know where to find the answers to these questions of when this idea will be realized?

Been thinking about it for years... and I guess it's only us who can make all of these 'sustainable energy' technology into actually going-can't and shouldn't wait for a 'new genius' or a 'new radical politician' to come and change the scene/system.
And I don't want to think this way... but... perhaps, there's no other way than firstly turning these techs/ideas into a business (like what Elon Musk does) so that in the end, it'll be implemented as a whole within our society-and replace the old unsustainable energies.
Gotta gather the capital money first and hopefully not trapped in the pursuit of it

It says the carbon-fuel industries are squashing its promotion. If they can deny human-caused global warming, burying Nocera's is not a problem.
