Some of the alto and tenor parts contain mistakes which have probably resulted from incorrectly transcribing their parts from the old C-clefs to the modern clefs. An example of this is the alto solo beginning in bar 27 of the Dies Irae: the score shows the alto entering on an F, when it should be a G. The situation gets rectified only in the middle of bar 30. There are other such examples, and some mistakes in the instrumental parts, as well, e.g., bars 134-135 of the Offertorium in the first violins, which should be a third above the second violins.

Mass in Europe, until Mozart’s became available. Such a beautiful setting- it is said he composed it in three days.
Such a pity because this is WAY better than Mozart's.

Interesting how much of it is in a major key, puts a different perspective on the Requiem, many others like Mozart's are deeply melancholic.
