its a shame that they have to play on a plastic mixer. Dommune, stop the partnership with pioneer and get a proper mixer like a xone 92 like every other good techno club !!!
+Karl Choueiri it starts with the fact that pioneer only use cheapest building parts from China, just like the plastic surface or the faders. Allen & Heath use for example Penny & Gilles faders which are one of the best. The sound quality on a xone mixer is way better than on the pio because the pathway is full analogue and includes an analogue Filter with changeable frequence and resonance. Pio is all digital (bc its easier/cheaper to build) In my ears 95% of all pioneer effects sounds cheesy and btw: when it comes to real techno, effects are not needed (a good sounding filter is enough) And one of the main reasons to get an allen and heath is that they are cheaper in price than the pios. So why is a mixer with higher quality building parts, a better look and full analogue pathway cheaper than a mass produced, digital, plastic mixer? Yeah right, because you pay 50% just for the name "pioneer" and such a price policy should not be supported. I mean why the fuck cost a fucking plastic mixer with the same features as the older version of it like 2000 bucks? look at the Allen & Heath 4D, it has more features with better sounding effects and costs just 800 bucks.
