There is sloka in Vasthu ( Malayalam ) to find out circumference without using pi value directly, have any one thought how Viswakarama community made great temples without these calculations?
@@niteshjakhar Sir I have doubt, Fraction or decimal is not possible in Greek and Roman numerals. Decimal Numbers was used by Indian. Subhsutra First mentioned as the ratio more than 3times Diameter and circumference.
@@gauraangsonkar yes, u r absolutely right about the mention of ratio. However, greeks used frations extensively. They had issues with 0, for a long time. But they were using fractions extensively.
@@niteshjakhar Okay sir dhanyawad, But this means they are familiar with Divisions, but in Greek numerals or place value system division is hard and you need a new symbol for every fractional number.
@@gauraangsonkar The Greeks used an alphabetic numeral system, which was definitely not positional, but they had some method for calculations involving division. I have not found their way of doing it in any maths related history.

OMG...I got interested in PI value because my birth date is 22/7, and during my Engineering college days, I used to be called PI. And now I know that I am irrational and cannot be predicted to perfection by anyone. HAHAHA...
If u have learned about trisecting a rational line segment using construction (usually taught in grade 7 or 8), you will understand that it depended upon taking a certain length of a segment which is easy to trisect and use it to trisect the other line segment using similar triangles. In exactly the same way you can divide an irrational length of a line segment into 360 parts by creating 360 parts of a rational line segment and then using the similar triangles. Similarly you divide the 360 degree angle at the center of the circle into 360 equal parts and each of the corresponding part of the circumference (which is irrational) will be equal, thus dividing the circumference into 360 equal parts - each part being an irrational number.
To our eyes it may look like the circumference is equal to 10, but actually it will not be possible with a rational radius. Make a square of side 1 cm, then measure its diagonal with the scale, it will look like 1.4 but in fact it is sqrt(2).
@tejpalsingh366 Yes, you are right. If we report the area and circumference in decimals then there is a small amount of error, but if we report them in terms of pi, then its absolute value. To understand this, imagine if I say that the hypotenuse of a right angle triangle having base and height both as 1 unit is root2. This is exact value. But if I say that hypotenuse is 1.414213 then its not an exact value, there is some error.

Our indian genius aryabhatta was the first men who discoverd the value of π ..
how can we divide circle circumference into 360 parts although it is irrational sometimes
Today I came to know the derivation of π
Is π symbol or number ...?
This is a Greek alphabet
if π is irrational , how it can be a ratio of circumference / diameter
Lets say if diameter is rational, in that case also the circumference is irrational. So the ratio will come out to be irrational.
PI IS UNIQUE
MYSTERY
Madhava went upto 384 polygon
sir iska mtlb toh 10 cm k dhaage se ek exact circle bn hi ni paaega...kuki circumference toh rational no. bn jaega jbki wo irrational hona chahiye
ya fr uss circle ki diameter irrational hogi

Kya bhai aur uljha diya
If pi is irrational then akways area n circumferance of a circle has always an very small amount of error??
Am i tight
@tejpalsingh366
Yes, you are right. If we report the area and circumference in decimals then there is a small amount of error, but if we report them in terms of pi, then its absolute value.

After seeing many vidoes ,I found this knowledgeable or having worthy.
I think rest all the videos related to π should be deleted
Glad to help !
