Best video I found on trimming a window! Your explanations were perfect for us beginners. Just finished our first window and copied your design except we used the 1 x 4 at the top also. Thank you!
Nicely done! Anyone else reading the comments, the only thing I would change is setting the trim boards back like 1/8th or 1/4 of an inch offset from the inside of the window casing. Adds a little more reveal and depth to the whole trim. Also prime your boards before installation!
Thanks Jenn for the much needed relief of your video. Manny you always come through for your family. Manny blessings to you all and family. Until your next vlog stay safe.
Thanks for posting! Single mom doing diy so videos always help. Love seeing how patient you are with each other. Super informative. You do a great job taking him through all the details. It's easy to stay in our head once we are working, lol. Ty
hi Jenn! fantastic video & great work...my husband [Ramon] is so impressed & now eager to create our own trim to continue making our new house our forever home. so grateful to you & your family for inviting us in ....be well...
Wow 🤩🤩manny is soo soo talented bringing your amazing visions to life Jen they look absolutely amazing 💖🙌🏻🥰I adore the idea of putting the bamboo blind over exisiting blind great job xoxo 💖💖💖💖
Very nice to see you Jenn and Manny! Love how all the windows look and noticed no more buffalo check valances in the kitchen! Your home is so beautiful! Please upload more content! Love your home decor videos and the family!! God Bless🙏💜
OMG exactly what I've been looking for. Love this video! Thanks for sharing. Beautiful outcome. Live in a 1971 built home and remodeling on a budget. This is perfect for what I wanted to do.
Beautiful work, however I have a question about your Fireplace beam, can you please let me know what size is it and what kind of wood is it? thank you!
You know what I really like about this video?? I just scrolled through all the comments and I didn't find ONE bad comment, usually there's a bunch of know-it-alls saying oh you should've done this or you should've done that, you cut your trim wrong, you're holding your tape measure backwards, your paint's upside down🤣🤣🤣🤣I can't stand those people🤦♂️ EXCELLENT video and Manny is DEFINITELY the man, Love & Respect and thank you for sharing🙏❤🙏
Hello, I like your video very much. I wanted to ask you: how's is the paint on the wood trim coming along. Typically pine wood tend to be stubborn when it comes to the knots on the wood. The wood knots tend to show even after several coats of paint. How is your paint job on your wooden trim holding on?
Nice job! Great vid. Windows look great. Thanks for sharing. I’m looking to do the same thing though i dont have an existing window sill to remove. There’s a finished drywall on the sill instead like the sides. Do you recommend placing a wood sill on top or removing the drywall sill first? Or maybe even leaving thr drywall sill in place and just trim around it like you do the sides so no need to mess with demoing drywall sill? Thanks!
I’m always excited and happy for Jenn & Manny’s videos! And by the way, it looks so beautiful, I can already see Christmas I know I know too too early but just something to think about ☺️ great job as always Muñoz family 👍🏼
Absolutely beautiful, well done both of you. Manny executed your vision beautifully, and I have to say I really enjoyed you asking questions throughout the process for those of us who might want to try this at home. Another AWESOME video. Thank you!!!
Enjoyed this video! Just today my husband and I were thinking of adding boarder to our windows! Can’t wait to show him tomorrow morning , they came out so Beautiful!! 😻
Looks great Jen😍😍 Manny did it again 👌🙌🙌 it's awesome how he brings your Visions to life👍 that's the awesome part of owning your own home. Hope you and your family are doing well 🙏❤ sending positive vibes your way.
Is your husband always so accommodating? I looked at the way you did yours for inspiration and decided to do it exactly like yours because our houses are so similar. Thank you
Suggest knots be shellacked or Zinsser Bin prior to paint to prevent showing through, unless that is miracle grade paint. You can do it after but better to prime boards first in my opinion. thanks, looks good.
Love the video I’m trying to do the exact same thing to my house I’m a first time home buyer so I’m just trying to learn as I go you help me out a lot thanks 🙏🏾
I'm doing my bathroom window and thinking about the style used in 1966 and what some do now. My old window stools are actually installed with the idea that you will get condensation on the inside of the window. the stool is tight to the window and angled down so any water will run into the room. it also overlaps the apron piece for the same reason. In a modern house many of those old construction necessities are gone because of insulation and tight construction.
We are doing well. Just ordered to shelter in place for our area. We’ve been doing that already though so not a big change for us. Manny still has to go to work everyday though. I hope you are well. 🙏🏼❤️
I know this is an old video. I am trolling looking for ideas for my own windows. I have two new ones that I had installed that I need to trim out. I love this! I am looking for a "country natural wood" lookl. Thanks for sharing that you can just do your own thing and it looks amazing!
Question please...how did you install the cellular shade over your existing blinds? I love the idea but I can’t see how both can be used in same window. Please share any insight. This was such a great video...thank you! Manny is very talented and he even cleans up after the mess...a bonus! You have great taste and a beautiful home 🙂
Hi! Our blinds were already installed further back so we just installed the linen shades right infront. If you have the space I would just move yours back to make room. 😊
This is EXACTLY what I’m trying to do now. You wouldn’t happen to be located in NJ? :) How would you recommend I find someone who can do this for my windows?
Buenos días me encanta verlos como trabajan en familia y su gusto para decorar es precioso Gracias por sus deseos y créame que me relaje viendo trabajar a su esposo Dios los bendiga y los proteja

Yes for beginner diys! I just did this for 2 of my windows. I have 3 more to go.
Nicely done! Anyone else reading the comments, the only thing I would change is setting the trim boards back like 1/8th or 1/4 of an inch offset from the inside of the window casing. Adds a little more reveal and depth to the whole trim. Also prime your boards before installation!
Excellent video. Thanks Jen for asking Manny to explain what he is doing in detail. I have to subscribe to the channel for this.
Thanks Jenn for the much needed relief of your video. Manny you always come through for your family. Manny blessings to you all and family. Until your next vlog stay safe.

It came out beautiful. I'm going to start with my bathroom window.
Love it, thank you for explaining what and why your doing it
looks great but no glue on the back of any of the trim?
Poor Manny never gets to rest when DIY Jenn is around. 🤣😂
I feel bad for him, but he's so talented I would be the same way.
Manny isn’t the type to sit around for very long. He likes to stay busy. Lol

Hello how has your trim held up considering it is not select pine because of the Knotts etc . Have you noticed any warping ?
It’s held up great for us. 😊

Everything was attached using his nail gun

We are doing well. Just ordered to shelter in place for our area. We’ve been doing that already though so not a big change for us. Manny still has to go to work everyday though. I hope you are well. 🙏🏼❤️
@@casitamunoz hello great job . Did you also used 1x pine (same material as window moldings) for the baseboards ?
Cool. Smart woman, this is a great idea. Good eye.

Manny does not look happy, when Jenn ask him what are you doing? He said what do you think I am doing. That's how I answer to my woman too!lol
Probably because she comes across like she's speaking to a child.
Very nice work!!! Looks beautiful!!!♥️

Great Job! 👌🏻 Look Amazing ❤️
Love your Channel. Your house is beautiful. 🌿
Thanks so much 🤗❤️
I love it, great job
Is it a 1x2? because 1x1 would be flushed with the other trim, right?
Did you put the same design on top of your bedroom doors in the hallways?
We’ve only done the main living space so far. Eventually we’ll make our way around the house.
Buenos días me encanta verlos como trabajan en familia y su gusto para decorar es precioso Gracias por sus deseos y créame que me relaje viendo trabajar a su esposo Dios los bendiga y los proteja
