I don't know why they changed that in the large print edition, I would have liked to have seen them keep it the same but just a larger font. I think a lot of people were a bit disappointed by that because they expected it to be like the regular one. Thanks for watching and commenting.

So much helpful information... instead of having piles of bibles on your table to study through, you can pretty much just have this one out and study with this one. Thank you for giving such a thorough review that by the time the bible arrives in the mail, I pretty much know it from front to back.... just need to break it in and read.

I have the ESV Study Bible Large Print, and the only two things I would change is to #1 have red letter for the words of Christ and #2 thumb indexing. I have yet to put the tabs in it, which would make it much easier for me to use. But it is rich with notes and helps for study, and having a two column text instead of the single in the Bible you are showing is also easier for me to read. It's definitely a great Bible and I would give it five stars. :)
I would love for it to be red letter as well, I prefer red letter over black as long as the red is a good shade. You don't see too many ESVs w/red letter. I am also a fan of thumb indexing. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you very much sister 💕

I love the look of that leather, with the pebble-like texture. I really like the ESV study Bible as it is absolutely loaded with information. The only downside is the massive size for reading, but I think I found a solution. Their personal size ESV large print(12pt font) in the brown buffalo leather. It looks to be the perfect reading size for me, and I think would make an excellent night stand Bible. Another excellent review my friend, God bless!
Yes this one is a brick! Definitely a leave at home Bible and not one for packing around. I do enjoy it though, it is hard to put away once you start digging into it.
I’d buy it in a heartbeat if it was edge lined, I wonder why they didn’t do that with this one? I think the deep brown cowhide would be the way to go. Great review as always and the blooper was way cute. The wife will love that 🐶
I wondered the same thing, if it was edge lined they would be flying off the shelf because the leather is a very pretty leather. I personally prefer the deep brown cowhide because that leather is soooo nice! I love that one!

This is such an absolutely beautiful Bible. We have the brown cowhide and the large print in light blue. It’s so comprehensive and the detail is incredible. Great study resource that will last a lifetime.

It is loaded with information! If someone only had one Bible and had this one they would be able to study it for the rest of their life. I love the brown cowhide edition, that one is my favorite...when Rowdy came into the room I decided I would just wait for him but I planned on cutting it out so I am glad I didn't because it made me smile to hear him drinking in the background. Oh, I love Rowdy now (and his Momma for letting him finish his drink first). Haha. That Bible seems fully loaded, looks fantastic. I love all the blank pages at the beginning and the end. You said the color is deep brown it looks like a dark chocolate color which is like black. That's how it appears on my screen. But I do know you recommended another one to check out as well. The cover that I prefer the most is the Deep Brown Cowhide which is absolutely beautiful!!! I will include a link to the full review of that one and it is such a nice cover! This buffalo leather one is a very dark cover so in some lighting it may look like a really dark brown to almost black. It is a nice cover though but I still like the cowhide one more.
It is actually really easy to add ribbons to a Bible and there are several videos on TH-cam of how to do it, the key is to just go slow and take your time, especially when prying the headband back and out of the way.

Nice 👍🏻 out of this one and the cowhide one which would you suggest ? I am leaning towards the cowhide one. I love that you left in the blooper, that is too funny. As a dog owner I know that sound well and my dog waits until I’m on the phone or in a zoom meeting and then the drinking and/or playing with squeaky toys starts 😆

Yeah I can see how this one would be overwhelming because one could open it and not know where to begin and the massive size could be intimidating to some as well. The ESV seems to be best study Bible on the market. I may try to own one the future. I currently have the ESV Archaeology Study Bible that was gifted to me about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I've never owned a premium Bible so I couldn't compare it to one, but among Bibles I had or even seen it has the best paper I've ever felt in a Bible and this is in a trutone edition. It is so easy to turn and the 9 point font is very easy to read. I cannot understand why Crossway couldn't have put at least 3 ribbons in this study Bible, look how thick it is and there's only one ribbon. The Buffalo leather looks great and the font seems readable and hurray it's all black letters. That concordance is a very good size. The study notes and articles do look interesting, this would have more and different types of notes than the Archaeology Study Bible I have, which is basically just about the lay of the land and the people. But overall, this is an absolutely amazing Bible. Thanks again for sharing this great review.
It is a great study Bible, it is a beefy one so it definitely needs more ribbons than what it has. I prefer the deep brown cowhide over this one but this one is still very nice! I just really like that cowhide cover. The archaeology study Bible is very good too. Crossway makes such great Bibles and you can't go wrong with any of them, I really like their trutone covers as well...Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it 🙂

While I like the ESV translation, the Bibles containing it tend to have such a gray, skinny and faint font that it's uncomfortable to read. The KJV and NKJV more often have dark, pronounced fonts which are easy on the eyes. I would love an ESV with a more traditional/bolder/visible font.

I have a genuine leather ESV Study Bible and also gave one to my son for Christmas. It makes a great back-up Bible for understanding, but I find the many study notes not as helpful as others may. That is just me!

Hi, do you know the difference between the 2008 and 2015 edition of the ESV Study Bible?
I want to have a study Bible but I am struggling between ESV study Bible and Life application study Bible. Can someone help which one is better to have?
They are both awesome Bibles but personally I like a study Bible with a lot of visual info in it like illustrations, charts etc. The LASB has charts but not many illustrations and they're not in full color. I find that with a study Bible having full color images it keeps you more engaged because you can remember something easier when you visualize the image that went along with it. The ESV Study Bible is a great one, the NLT Illustrated Study Bible is great but that one is glued and not sewn, the FaithLife Illustrated Study Bible is another really good one as well as the various study Bibles by Holman which they have in the CSB, NKJV and KJV. So I would look what features are most important to you and then make a decision, I have lots of study Bible reviews on my channel. I would go for the one that is most visually appealing to you because you will be more apt to use it.
