Plant-based news promotes propaganda that fish and meat are unhealthy and actively prompts vegan junk food from subway and KFC and McDonald's so what is it is vegan about your health or the animals if it is about health then why do you make videos when a non-vegan restaurant make vegan junk food I but go all on abord when talking about unprocessed food like fish I wonder
      Plus
The title should be why vegan doctors like to hate anything that's non-Vegan I can make a whole video about why brown rice is unhealthy because the high level of arsenic cause cancer so therefore brown rice is unhealthy what about the DHA IN Fish is better than ALA in plants and much more bioavailable I think I would rather listen to what longest living healthy Japanese are eating whole food unprocessed diets
just because most vegans are less likely to smoke and drink alcohol and eat less processed food doesn't mean that vegan diets are Heather at all the fact that pesco-vegetarians had the lowest hazard ratio for all-cause mortality in the Adventist Health Study 2 despite pollution? I can see the ecological and other ethical problems with eating seafood, but doesn't epidemiology contradict the claim that a vegan diet is healthier than a pescovegetarian diet? I don't think I know better, it's just that I see some contradiction here.
This study on vegans' use of saying vegan being Heather than meat-eater has clearly shown the opposite true with the fish-eater this doesn't mean vegan diets are unhealthy but not optimal as whole food plants based with some fish since this diet provides all the nutrients from plants and B12 DHA and more biologically available vitamins A and D, therefore, non-vegan diets can be slightly Heather than WFPBD
Not all vegans eat this diet vegans do eat refined carbs also added vegetable oils and mock meats are not correct to say that vegans are automatically Heather because their diet is vegan
Any idea, why pesco-vegetarians had the lowest hazard ratio for all-cause mortality in the Adventist Health Study 2 despite pollution? I can see the ecological and other ethical problems with eating seafood, but doesn't epidemiology contradict the claim that a vegan diet is healthier than a pescovegetarian diet? I don't think I know better, it's just that I see some contradiction here. Thanks for your reply.
The level of mercury in fresh Atlantic salmon is 220 parts per billion mercury so which means
That a 3oz serving is equal to 85 grams of Salmon
      220/1000000000 equal
0.00000022 grams of mercury x1000 to milligrams then it's 0.00022 milligrams x1000 to micrograms then it's 0.22 microgram x85 for 3oz serving 18.7 micrograms of mercury
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that 0.1 mcg per kg) of body weight per day is the maximum safe dose of mercury.
      So 18.7 mcg from fish
      I am weighing about 73kg that's about 161 lb
      So
      Roundabout 0.10mcg per lb
so my exposure Is within the safe non-risk limit if I eat 85 grams every day which is a lot I eat about 85 grams of salmon 3 times a week so my total consumption a week is about 255grams that's equal to 9oz a week
Now we have to x3 the exposure of mercury that's come at
      18.7/161 = 0.116149068322981 x3 = 0.348447204968943
      Roundabout 0.35
I have to 7x the safe expound limit of 0.1 x7 = 0.7 mcg per pound per week is safe to limit
I only would get 0.35 which is well within the safe limit so at this level heavy metals like mercury are completely harmless to get a negative effect you need to be exposed serval times the upper safe limit so you are wrong about
fish contains omega 3 and DHA that helps the brain development and lower heart disease anyways if you are still concerned about this explore it safe to eat fish a couple of times a week the benefits of fish completely outweigh the negative so stop spending misinformation
If you still are stubborn about not eating heavy metal you do know that you're exposed to heavy materials at a far higher amount from second-hand smoke brown rice has arsenic that's doesn't mean that brown rice is unhealthy like fish the benefits outweighs the drawbacks of combining fish with prominently plant-based is optimal for health 👍
I am not saying that if you don't eat fish you will be unhealthy or anything you could live as healthy
Without eating animals products as well
I am just trying to inform people that spending misleading information about the health effects of eating meat and fish is toxic does not help promote veganism because veganism has
All to do with animals' ethics and the environment because both of these aspects are harming animals directly or indirectly
While health is a personal choice
nice logic very mon biased video 😂😂

my mom is an MD and she has been a fan of plant-based medicine for as long as I know her, she once told me that one of her patients was so thankful that he came for the next checkup with a bunch of kale and lettuce he had been growing to show his thankfulness.

    • @GCT1990
      @GCT1990 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

What does being a MD have to do with anything? People use these titles as if this means they have more insight within certain topics... MD's is not a profession you want to strongly use as a encouraging statement when it comes to nutrition as most MD's will tell you that they're under trained in nutrition, the standard student only needs 24-48 hours in nutrition to which it's already been discovered decades ago that their training and education is doctored by influenced companies who put out studies based arou d epidemiology and observational reports lol, just by using MD you've discredited your moms opinion. This is kinda what I hate about vegans, they're so quick to through titles. I've spoken to 6 this week who all claimed to be nutritionists and dieticians yet not one of them could tell me the difference without using Google. Veganism and plant based is a species inappropriate diet... Explain to me how it's good route to take? Most become sick at some point for a reason. It's a diet that centers around malnutrition as its the only diet outside of the SAD diet that has nutrients missing ontop of having antinutrients... But don't worry it gets worse. Plant toxins, the body and temperature can rid some of it however these toxins build such as Lectins, Amines, Tannins, Trypsin inhibitors,Fodmaps,
Salicylates, Oxalates, Sulfites, benzo ates, MSG, Non protein amino acids, Glycosides
,Akaloids including solanine and chaconine, Triterpenes,Lignins, Saponins, Phytic acid, Glutan and Isoflaones... Explain to me how veganism is a healthy diet?
Most of nutrition as a whole has been bought and paid for, studies have been tipped in the direction of the influencer (companies like Big Pharma who need to keep you sick in order to sell product). Hell because of nutrition there's still people out there who believe that "Bad cholesterol" is a actual thing lol, and that Red meat and Saturated fat... Which is the most nutrient dense of any food is somehow bad for you lol, our species survived with meat and Saturated fat for centuries yet now its a problem. Go look at Nitrogen 14 and 15 isotopes and the trophic levels within human beings within the last 350,000 years and actually learn something. You mom too as she clearly needs better education, how is your mom a MD and not know about this? Bet she also doesn't know that low cholesterol is actually the problem as it increases all cause mortality compared to high.
You're setting yourself up for failure, no where in the medical literature has veganism ever been proven to be safe beyond ten years, meat on the other hand has been shown by our ancestors. Don't look at epidemiological studies and observational reports as those are typically what vegans go for because you can basically find anything to support your narrative as they remain worse fields of study within the nutrition world. Only look at peer reviewed reports. Hell you're listening to doctors and nutritionists who specialize in only one area... Veganism, do you understand how unintelligible that is? Imagine your doctor only knowing about hang nails and nothing else yet you want to digest this non sense? Is no one smart these days? No one can research the actual science and not what they want the science to show? Lol

Another great interview! Thanks so much, I was smiling through the entire interview.
I do have to say that even on a wfpb diet I still gain weight easily. I became vegetarian 40 years ago (health based). ( 18 yrs old) No processed sugars, limited dairy and eggs, whole grains. Then became gluten and dairy free 20 years ago and egg and oil free 2-3 years ago. So we're talking 40 years of eating with a healthy awareness. I've managed to keep my weight off, I'm active and have always done physical labor but I still have to stop with one serving.
I attribute this to weak adrenals. Was intolerant to dairy and sugar and gluten my entire life without realizing it. Not positive I was gluten intolerant all that time or if it developed from the regular assault from dairy and sugar (honey) all those years but also had a very stressful childhood. Was in a state of fear most of the time from birth. So this stress on my adrenals has no doubt burned them out. So my metabolism is slow, my blood pressure is 110/70 and my body temp is around 96. I get cold easily when not moving.
So yes, there seems to be good reason for me to have to portion control. I just wanted to put this out there that not all wfpb folks can eat until the cows come home.

I have had a open mind and have read books and watched countless you tube videos with each expert justifying their own doctrine with data. Well here is my take on this, just look at the people around you. Who takes multiple drugs, can't walk to the store, and has health problems. Plus does my teeth look like my dog or cat. I don't put meat in my compost pile to feed my garden, oh yes I am really feeding the microbes in the soil. And what are we feeding in our bodies , our gut microbes. Eating a WFPBD makes a lot of sense to me. Just made up my mind to make the change this week.

Congrats! I've been eating WFPB for over two years now and I still go to the gym and lift, I feel great. From my research, I don't see any better alternative diet right now. I eat whatever I want that isn't processed and it's very easy to do this. I was in steel and welding, concrete work, lifting heavy and sweating outside in 116 degrees summers... And my WFPB diet had me running circles around my colleagues. More energy than ever, strong af, and aesthetically pleasing. Take care of yourself, do 5x5 workout in the gym 3 days a week (approx 45 min workout sessions) and eat healthy, you'll be amazed at how you can transform. Take it slow and try your best to add any exercise possible if you can't in the beginning. Consult your doctor and make sure you get the go ahead, get second or third opinions if you need, and maybe consider a trainer who specializes in your health problems for one or two sessions to make sure you are not risking injury etc.... I hope you thrive and feel great. Eat lots of quinoa + black beans, that is my staple food basically.

@@cynicalidealist11:Hmm not funding animal exploitation and abuse, you are eating just plants? But aren't they grown in soil, full of microorganisms and bacteria, are there any herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, fungicides used on the soil and plants? How many insects and wild animals are killed through such a way of agriculture? What about the wastes of these methods, they are released into nature and the water. Eating plants in a modern world kills microorganisms, insects, wild animals and so on. Eating animal products also kills animals, so what is the solution? If one eats animal products from good sources (environmental and agricultural) there is not so much harm, same can be true if one grows own food in the garden, but nevertheless you always effect the environment if you just live you release a footprint in nature whether you like that or not. I don't think that most vegans even realize how much damage is done to the environment by eating even plant based. And by the way plants grow in the soil full of bacteria and earthworms. They release their animal excrements into the soil which are then absorbed by plants. So all of us are consuming animal products wanted or unwanted. Its the symbioses way of life. Have you ever seen the videos where deer and cows are eating very young chickens alive, i was really shocked when i saw that believing that these animal were strict herbivores but they are not. Even elefants, gorillas and rhinos are eating plants and animals so where is the difference? Or do you think that an elefant or rhino picks the plants and clears it of all bacteria and insects before eaten? I don't think so.
I came to realize that veganism is a religion, an ideology or cult over the last years and i should know because i was a vegan for more then seven and a half years. I ate plant based and 98% of the time healthy but it still got worse and worse. I think i kind of developed a preform of insulin resistance i was tired and unconcentrated for 2 to 4 hours almost 5 to 6 days every week. Then i put my vegan agenda aside and tried vegetarian again. My symptomes went away on the first day, my cognitive abilities went through the roof my tiredness is now almost gone (still have it from time to time if i eat to much carbs which i have reduced now significantly to feel better), i am much happier now and feel way healthier then in my last 5 years. I don't think that i will ever go back to the vegan diet, not if that could potentialy kill me in the long term. I will listen to my body and will do what is best for it, even if it is hard to give up my believes. I am not convinced that the vegan lifestyle is the best way or diet for everyone, it didn't worked for me, maybe for others and i wish them the best of luck whether plant based or meat based or both but in the end everyone has to find a diet and lifestyle that works for him.

This is the kind of story I am curious to hear about… I have recently been trying to switch to Vegan/plant based food for ethical reasons, but I have thyroid issues… I used to be overactive and then they treated me with radioactive iodine so now I’m underactive forever, and apparently that can’t be changed… I want to do The right thing for The planet and my body but I often find I am anxious that maybe I’m going to end up deficient in iron or something else and end up feeling like I have even less energy and more mental health issues and I’ve already had. I work in the health food shop and I feel like I’ve met a lot of people who said they’ve been vegan sometimes up to 10 years and then found themselves feeling very ill and they blame the vegan diet. I guess I don’t know what is in each person specific diet, but my boyfriend who has been vegan for 10 years said I need to look for more stories from people who have been Long-term vegan and healthy at the same time! Look into Brooke Goldner. She's another MD who accidentally discovered that the vegan diet can do wonders for diseases. The woman cured herself from lupus. Lupus is supposed to be incurable. It sounds insane, like it can't be real, but she's helped to cure or at least put into remission people who have debilitating, chronic illnesses. She has worked with hundreds and hundreds of patients, thyroid patients included. All of her research and information is free. She even teaches free classes. I'm about to start her protocol because I'm a clean eating 25 year old and I have heart disease and an automimmune condition.

And if i would believe some strangers at the internet, i would believe that meat is good for me and being vegan is bad, i think there exist a lot more persons who say that being vegan is bad, because they are scared of having to live a life without their favourite food. They dont want to see whats going on in the world and they want to be blind, because they dont want to see that the world gets destroyed, that animals suffer and a lot of persons die because of sicknesses who are most times caused because of consuming meat and animal products. Im living without meat now since 19 years. I was a pescetarian for 18 years. But the last two years of my pescetarian time i didnt consume much fish anymore, so i thought i could just stop eating fish too. I was eating fish because of the healthy fats, was telling me that i need it. But i dont. And its possible to live without diary products too without having problems with your health, as long as you eat the stuff that contains the vitamines you need. If you just eat pommes with ketchup then you are an unhealthy vegan and you will get sick for sure. Like 10 years ago i was laughing about vegans too. Sure i understand where they came from, but i thought they are too extreme, till i opened my eyes. Now every meat eater is just consuming corpses in my eyes. I became bloated, weak and deficient each time. My constitution does not do well unless I am able to eat some meat. I don't want to eat meat because I don't like killing animals. It really bothers me. But I think different people need different diets. Yet vegetarians resort to shaming meat eaters. I am blood type O; so maybe it is vital for me. Powerful video!! My wife and I are 69 and 70, and we have been plant-based for over 10 years. The ways that our health and lifestyle have improved are too numerous even to wrap my brain around, much less to itemize them all. It's a total life changer and health changer. We never get ill, we still go snow skiing and go to a gym 3 days a week, and we fully intend to live to 100 with no ailments. The WORST part of being plant-based is observing all the people in restaurants and everywhere who are so unhealthy and not plant-based and my being powerless to change them! Nobody wants to hear about changing their diet. They would rather continue down their sickly path, eating badly, taking their meds, going to hospitals, and dying prematurely. It's tragic and very sad to watch!

What's your opinion on other vegans shaming people and publicly humiliating others making a conscious effort?

Dr. Klaper did a study about 10 years ago on vegans who were "failing to thrive." He took their blood tests and tried to find commonalities. The study found they they were deficient in a bunch of nutrients. I wonder why he didn't mention this study. It seems pertinent to the topic at hand, don't you think? I can't post links on this channel for some reason, but google "doctor klaper vegan health study" and it should be the first link.

@@teljordan9236 That's because a vegan diet isn't necessarily healthy. Most vegans consume oils, sugars, processed fake meats, etc... Just like most omnivores have health problems because of eating junk foods, many vegans also have health problems from eating junk foods. Sounds like after a period of time your body would catch up so to speak... Wonder if it takes longer for some. I see some people really do experience issues when they as plant eaters start exercising more... (not just first months or so) and feel better when they eat animal foods again. I do not think they are imagining it. Interesting to know the exact causes. Would be nice to have a plant based ”detective doctor” help you in those situations. Of course some will argue that we are omnivores and need some animal foods, period. But that is obviously not true either...

What are you talking about. Humans thrived on animal products for millions of years and there is no known mechanism that explains how meat exactly causes cancer. On the other hand, your vegan diet is new and unproven. No group has ever lived on it for generation after generation. Why? Cause it can't work. Evolution has already proven this to us.
And those populational studies you guys keep showing. Correlation does not imply causation. Look up weston A price. Indigenous groups that lived on mainly animal fats had amazing health.
And environmental? I can live on 1 cow and a few local veggies for a year. The cow converts grass to almost every nutrient i need, can't be more efficient then that. To sustain your diet you have to fly in all kinds of foods from all over the world. Not to mention the soy and grain fields that kill millions of small animals too. Your just a brainwashed fool.

I tried to talk to doctors about encouraging her to at least eat greens every day (She's in her a 70s and a stubborn) and they did very little. One (fat as heck doctor) was like, she can eat ice cream all day. We just can't afford to her to get amaciated.
She never took her healthy seriously because Doctors were always like "Good job Sherly, you're healthy for your age."
And she was overweight for years and sure she's her own person etc, but I blame piece of crap doctors, because she trusted all of them and every single one of them let her down. Never talking to her about the importance of a genuinely healthy diet.

“I did not go into medicine to manage chronic disease, I went into medicine to cure people. I don’t say you can eat cheeseburgers but take your statins so you can’t sue me.” Wow! This is the exact opposite of every doctor I’ve ever met! Amazing!!
