I’ll be 100% honest. I have Aoud lemon mint, and yes it is a nice fragrance and I do wear it for myself for that reason, but I have not once received compliments on it, let alone be asked what I was wearing lol. And before anyone makes judgements by what you may have heard from other reviewers, yes I am well groomed, approachable, and yes I admit I’m an introvert, but I am quite well liked and friendly, so these qualities as I’ve learned early on in my fragrance collecting don’t necessarily guarantee you compliments all the time, and I don’t really expect them either, however in saying that, it makes myday when I do get compliments, especially from women.
I got myself a full bottle of Montale Intense Cafe because of your reviews. It was sort of a blind buy because although I've smelled it before and I didn't like it, I noticed that my sense of smell has somehow changed and I wanted to give it a chance. Before, it was a sharp and metallic rose scent. Now, it's exactly like what you said! I now smell the creamy coffee and it's so addicting. I think this is my new signature scent

Layton is called the perfect boyfriend by fragrance reviewer Sandra Solomon, but it is not the most versatile PDM that women love. Get Percival even though it smells boring or familiar to folks compared to Layton, it just seems to get ladies attention, and you can wear it all your around no matter the weather. It is surprising when you have or find fragrances that don't blow you away, but seem to get the ladies attention.

FWIW I picked up a sample and got a strong Menthol (some people on Reddit call it Vick’s Vapor Rub). It goes away on drydown, however.
