Budapest Tatra T5C5K Tram Ride

This is a short ride in a modernized Tatra T5C5K tram car in Budapest, Hungary. What can be seen is the stretch from Szent János korház to Nyúl utca on route 59.
Stations: Szent János korház, Városmajor, Nyúl utca.
Listen to and enjoy the sound of the motors, the cheeping of the IGBT transistor control during acceleration and deceleration and the squeaky sound of the coupling.

Unfortunately the east bloc economical problems in 80s and later outdated concept of high floor trams in 90s meant rather quick disappearing for these cars

This stop has three tram lines i go with it every day so i know what it's like and that is why the lady did not run/got on

why these trams are making a loud noise under braking?

the electric tone? it's also when accelerating, heard lots of different vehicle types doing that, i think it's some kind of electricity transfer

The tone when it accelerates comes from the chopper drive turning the motors on and off very quickly to control the speed, when it decelerates, the motors are used as generators to put electricity back into the system
