Very good! Would you prefer this over the pepetool? Does it cut larger discs than the 1” max on the Pepe?

Not sure without checking the sizes, I have both and have reviewed both. The latest Pepe have a black anti corrosion finish which is better for me. But I do like the solid carry case that the Durston units have. In use there is little difference, The Durston is pretty much a copy of the Pepe units. Dave

Hi Dave, thanks for review , it saves a lot of saws , saw fingers , saw ears and saw eyes , not to mention saw blades , ...Can it cut out a Coin Center too ??

Yes. many people use these for making coin rings. bronze or silver coins, obviously the new steel ones may be a little tough. Cutting thicker items like silver dollars will take some whacking, and in turn will dull the punches quicker then regular jewellery work would (normal silver and gold sheet should dull it at all ). You can sharpen them easily (see my video on this), but I'd say use this or the Pepetool superior Disc cutter for fine jewellery work. Both units are superb but quite expensive items. So if you want to bash holes in coins, then perhaps consider a smaller cheap Indian one for a few bucks. Alternatively, several people now make special dies and punches specifically for making coin rings. (I use a pillar drill) Hope this helps. Dave

I doubt it will cut coins. Especially big ones. Unless u use press and very accurate in.your cutting. And make sure that upper part is flat buy putting another coin on other side. Thanks
