Shandong University is the most outstanding institute in Shandong, China. The university has been established in the year 1864. It is the institution of medical studies for higher education. SDU was found as Shandong Imperial College in 1901. Currently, SDU is the resulting university of multiple merges by various academic institutions.

The Shandong province is situated on the eastern edge of the North China Plain and in the lower reaches of the Yellow River which extends out to sea as the Shandong Peninsula.
Shandong lies in a complex monsoon climatic region. Winter overcomes by strong Mongolia cold anticyclones, summers been affected by the Indian low pressure and western high pressure.
