Thank you for posting. Great help since I also have the printhead missing error. I like you video, but I would prefer spoken instructions over this music 😁
My printer would not print pink and/or reds, So I cleaned my Printhead fo the Magenta ink cartridge using this video as a guide and now it prints Pinks and Reds. Thank you for making this video!!
I don't advise doing this yourself. I've taken apart many things from electronics to cars. My printer would still print black but the color was faded and off color. Because it was so clogged the cleaning fluid didn't go through so I pushed harder on the syringe and I popped the thin plastic cover over the reservoir tank. I ordered a refurbished one and installed it and got error message 'print head missing or damaged'. Found that someone had tried to'fix' it by soldering over the gold contacts shorting each pair. Seller sent me another one, no soldering, and still same error message. Now shopping for a new printer. It won't be a HP though.
This is the most irritating video without explanations and jerking of the camera. Never identifying tools, procedures and fluid used. Bad, bad video and worthless.
You should caution people not to put too much pressure on the syringe. Mine was so clogged that the clear plastic cover on the little tanks is leaking. May have already been leaking but I think too much pressure did it. I tried a piece of packing tape on top but it wasn't sticky enough.
Hp officejet pigment ink s are oil based pigment inks, so don't use wateror distrill watwr, special clean solutions, or ip solutions easy to evabration must need after clean use fan dry or some time to give evabration after on printer 👍
Probably. I think I did the same thing. Mine were so clogged that when I put pressure on the syringe it loosened or split the clear tape on the top of the small tanks and cleaning fluid is now coming out of those.
Hola de los tres cables de conexión, el más estrecho se desconecto de la impresora y no encuentro donde tengo que conectarlo. Podrías ayudarme por favor? Gracias
Hi, Thanks for posting this video! Can I ask - what is the cleaning fluid being used (distilled H2O or solvent? What is the size of the tube used on the end of the syringe? Where can I purchase the syringe/tube? Thanks!
How to Fix The wire heat sleeve? Can use distilled water to clean it as well? What temperature does it need to be? Room temperature, warm, or does it matter? Also, where the ink system rests when not in use, all the way to the right of the printer on my 7610, there is black ink underneath the ink system on the printer. Is that supposed to be there? Should I clean and off?
If you turn it off, the ink-craddle goes to the right and is locked. I pulled the plug and it stays visible.Right now I'm gonna try to clean up our printer. Will soon see the outcome…. Happy it if works.

Thanks for posting this video. Very useful, as I have the "print head missing" message, repeatedly.

It has been used several times and loved.
Does printhead need to be primed with ink before installation?
I did not tried it as yet but seems to have technical sense, thank you.

Also, it looks like you are going in the right direction instead of left to remove them. Am I seeing correctly?
use normal water to cleaning ?
Is it water that you use?
GRAZIE Hai salvato anche me !!!
In using this method, on one of my 'ports', I heard a 'pop'. Did I damage the bladder by putting too much pressure?
Probably. I think I did the same thing. Mine were so clogged that when I put pressure on the syringe it loosened or split the clear tape on the top of the small tanks and cleaning fluid is now coming out of those.

After all this, the HP still didn’t work. So I trashed it and bought a new wide paper printer.
Good video, thanks! What was HP thinking...? LOL
Where can I find an allen wrench small enough to remove these screws?
Actually, it's a Torx bit. I use them a lot but not this size. I found a set of smaller Torx bits both on Amazon and at my local hardware store.
it is sold as star wrench key.sold in sets in any hardware shop.take the small ones only if possible
