    I've heard the Sasha Vs, driven by D'Agostino amplifiers. Without waxing poetic, it simply just gets out of the way and lets you experience music in a pure, natural way. It spans the whole range from sublime to ridiculous, gentle to explosive, and everywhere in between. I have yet to hear anything that gets closer to simply letting you hear the original recording itself. Nothing about it stands out above anything else. It's just ALL outstandingly transparent.

      Dude it's like the super / hyper cars for having a liitle bit better performance we pay a fortune which cannot justify the rediculus higher price even for the construction quality e.t.c , but when somebody is a millioner or billioner doesn't give a f...k i wouldn't give too .

      Just like in race cars, the proverbial law of diminishing returns applies. To get a half second faster costs more the faster it already is. 15 second 1/4 mile to 14 seconds...no problem. 9 seconds to 8 seconds is more difficult and costs a lot more.

      It depends if they are the LXP, PLM, VIP, PPL, TFX, BBP, TBX, XPT or the one named after their old goat in the backyard.
      I have heard one set that looked like these, they had a very good top and mid representation, but the bass was floppy and

      If one was ask to guess the price base off blind test sound quality alone. I wonder what price range it would be. I feel at $4k, speakers are already 95% there.

    • @scottwallace1
      @scottwallace1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Please try hard not to fall into this trap. It is such a cliche. Things that cost multiples of something else never claim that the improvement is that linear in terms of articulating a difference. Though the differences are profound. The value one places on that improvement is a personal value choice. The premium is not because a $50,000 speaker is $46,000 better than a $4,000 speaker. The life cycle of a Wilson speaker is usually about 5-6 years. In that time, there is ongoing development of the replacement. You have people that work a full day every workday to make current speakers and to make future speakers even better. The cost is not a bill of materials. It reflects the time and cost involved in their development. Though the bill of materials is still much, much more than a comparatively less expensive speaker.

    • @scottwallace1
      @scottwallace1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As good as the Sasha DAW is, at first listen with no break in, with note 1 out of the speaker, it was clear that things have improved. The quietness of the cabinet is what struck me first. I also continue to be amazed that Wilson doesn't sound like a collection of good drivers. It just sounds like it "should"....even on different electronics and the signature that they impart, Wilsons have a way of communicating the music in a way that you just realize that....yeah, now I know what this is supposed to sound like.

  • @BuzzardSalve
    @BuzzardSalve ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Isn't it just a scan-speak midrange or mid-bass driver ? Not only that the woofers are 8 inch and the midrange is 7 inch crossing over to a 1 inch dome tweeter which is a strange combination for a 3-way design !!

    • @scottwallace1
      @scottwallace1 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps you can tell Daryl Wilson and engineer Vern Credille how to design speakers and crossovers then 🤦‍♂ there are reasons for everything they do. You cannot even conceive of a question that they haven't researched the living crap out of. And for the love of all that is holy, they do not buy stock drivers. They design the drivers used in their speakers and they are built ONLY for Wilson to their specifications. You will not find a driver used in a Wilson speaker anywhere except a Wilson speaker. #Facts

    • @xprcloud
      @xprcloud ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scottwallace1 Yeah sure, no one can reproduce 20hz to 20Khz sound , with lower distortion better than these $50K sasha ...total BS. Its only technology. Get a DSP crossover, buy 3 class-D amps such as ICEPower modules, get off the shelf drivers, EQ & time align them with the DSP, and you get a fer better speaker for ~7K in materials. direct to amp, no capacitors and BS.

    • @scottwallace1
      @scottwallace1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you just don't know what you're talking about yet, but perhaps willing to learn......Wilson designs drivers for driver companies to build. They do not buy off the shelf drivers. Once upon a time, they heavily modified a Focal tweeter, and I have a photo that shows the comically larger magnet structure of the Wilson version compared to the stock Focal version. But they've advanced even from that methodology. They are designing the drivers, and having them built to their standards. No one else has a tweeter that is in a Wilson speaker is perhaps the easier way of putting it.
