I don't think he was spoiled, he just got his expenses taken care of. Remember, his friends and us didn't had a clue that he was rich till Sheldon pointed it out. He could've easily flaunt his wealth to one up his friends and get all the women he wants, but he stayed in the background. Most of his expensive purchases are gifts, to him or those who is dear to him, like the cape, Bernadette's large teddy bear, etc. I think he fell to a gold digger once, saved by interference of Penny only.
Being spoilt does not necessary mean that you flaunt your financial success. It just means that you are provided for by others to an extent that removes most if not all of your responsibility, and to an extent where non-necessities are provided often, when requested and with no expectation of repayment.

As long as they were flawed anglo's it was ok. One climbed from toilet windows, another loved horror films and I believe one was a fetish devotee. (Not sure about her she could have been Howards) These are not what one would script to create a romantic lead storyline. As funny as the show is it still had to tow the censor line.

Then i met my wife she made me take on a job before a date. When i asked to marry she made me work everyday for a year coz i quite the last job as soon as we got official. Now we have 3 kids she dosent want anymore of em but i need more lol. she was done the 1st time but our love trumps it all and i still have rhe job with 2 promotion since then. Life is good.

That was always meant to be a joke, seeing that he is the most feminine of the guys and he and Howard had a very close friendship, it was just part of the comedy. If they did explore that avenue it would have made sense, but I don't think it was a dropped idea that they had planned, considering that it is never seriously hinted at.

He was able to talk to women. When broken up with Lucy, he was so heartbroken that suddenly the issue was resolved. So that issue had already covered.
