- Ever wondered what a job at HOT ROD magazine is really like? In this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited we take you inside the offices at HOT ROD to show you what goes in to publishing the longest running automotive magazine of all time. You'll see the staff at work as we brainstorm new issues, work in the shop, shoot feature cars in the studio and drive our favorite cars. It's hard work, but someone has to do it.

By the looks of this video, Hot Rod should be called Camaro magazine. It's the only car or car logo in the whole video, I wonder how that happened
Perhaps it was a big joke because everyone complains that they're all about Camaro's... In fact I know it was.
Jesus you aren't kidding, like literally every single car in this entire video, toy or otherwise, is a Camaro. There's Camaro logos and stuff everywhere. That can't have been coincidence.

As i commented to the MT bunch, you guys are sooo far ahead of the 'new' media curve it hurts! I've read Hot Rod & MT before you were born, but all the printed words and pictures cannot match the reality of this format. Bravo! to the editors of the 'brave new world' of automotive journalism!

it costs $$$$$$$$ to publish a magazine (not to mention all the web stuff they do) so if GM kicks in a couple bucks to stick Camaros around the place, who cares? If it helps keep the lights on a little longer, it's all good.

Good eye! It was a Hot Rod branded 1958 Les Paul from the Gibson Custom Shop. Done in 2008.

Did you noticed, that mustang on Finnegan screen is modified like a 78 trans-Am. Look at the flares in front and behind the wheels, the wheels, the rear spoiler and the COPO camaro hood!! :)

so this is why there's less roadkill than any other series
im a chevy guy that likes 60's mustangs and ive learned because of my 67 stang parts for a ford tend to cost more at least for the engine than it does a chevy and ive mostly driven chevy vehicles. that might be one of the reasons if you ared dealing with a budget the cheeper things are a bit more likely chosen for projects

Answering the board at 0:56: Hugger Orange is red enough; it's easier to make a 3rd gen fast than a 4th gen pretty; Better Off Dead is a good movie; and Bullitt is the best car movie, even though a Camaro isn't featured.

I don't know if you are serious or not, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
Mopar is short for MOtor PARts and originally was a division of Chrysler Co. that made spare and performance parts. GM had AC Delco and Ford had FOMOCO. Eventually Mopar became a slang for Chrysler Co. because Chrysler is the name of a car company and an automotive corporation. This is why I said Mopar.
Nowadays, Mopar still makes parts, but they also have grown into a performance division of Chrysler.
They are probably drop hints to what the magazine is gonna be about lol
