Let's also keep in mind that there's a ton we, as viewers, don't see. The eliminated queens didn't vote for Shangela for a reason: Because she's dramatic and phony, while Trixie is honest and genuine.

When I started watching drag race I was 19, so it's weird to see how the contestants each season have gone from seeming waaay older than me, to my same age, to now being waaay younger (Blaire!)!
I feel like Bianca Del Río was so experienced and knew what she was doing and what worked with her that she had to win.. I remember the first episode of that season and her saying “I’m an old queen I’ve been doing this for years” and thinking “she’s gonna win”...
