I do not work in sales.I think what you are hearing is kind of a continuation of what Joel and I were going over in the shop a few days prior. I am really impressed by this marker. See my reply to the person who called me a fanboy in these comments for more of an elaboration on what my thought process is. -Ray
Give it a year and bunch of these will come in used covered in old adhesive like a used Glock. In fact, Punishers lasercut Idol tape. Sell them like Talon grips. Bunch of dudes will have to have it.
This is gonna be $2200 Canadian…I’ll stick with the 180R. My field doesn’t even allow ramping on rec days and there aren’t enough regulars to consistently play tournament style games more than once every 3 months. So maybe I’ll sell the 180R, get an etha mech and take my girl somewhere nice for dinner. Hmmmmm…nah I want the new luxe 😂
cs3 at release date was 2800$ can it is close to 2700$ can now with an exchange rate of 1.35 1800$ us is 2428$ can + shipping + customs about 3 monts paying my old house
As I mention in the video, I am a big fan of Planet Eclipse and mid range markers. I am lucky enough to own several markers (180r, Geo4, DSR+ Icon, Force with some V2 parts, and now the Idol). The Idol is, in my opinion, a big quality of life upgrade on the TM40. Enough for me personally to justify upgrading. The ERA is fantastic and is not far behind, but I do think the Idol is worth the money for the upgrade. Think of the AMP to ERA as an evolution, just as the X to TM40 was an evolution. The TM40 to Idol seems like a major redesign of the marker to me in comparison to previous updates, a revolutionary new thing for their flagship line of products. I play speedball 45+ weekends a year, so a couple hundred dollars isn't a big deal for me in the grand scheme of things, especially when I intend to keep this marker for quite some time and really get some good use out of it. Paintball markers these days are getting so good that I honestly don't know how they can make them significantly better from here. The Idol is the first flagship marker that I think justifies the price over its little brother (the ERA). You will have to pardon me if I sound overly enthusiastic about my recent purchase and being able to use it for a bit that day. As someone who lives with a literal tech station/bench/tools in the main living area of my home, the Idol is very exciting. - Ray
Your channel is why I bought an lv2 and Hk expand with wheels. The content is just so good lol
Ray salesman spittin bars like his life depended on it and camera guy loving the sales pitch.

They just need to release a gripped version of the back plate. Like they did the forgrip a few models back
I like the new improvements they did to the new luxe but the price tag is way too high. Just buy the shocker era.
That’s what I’m thinking. Need side by side vid @punisher
Slippery grips and it looked like at 2:18 or 2:19 that thumbing that back cap causes a purge/leak.
No dice from me. Not when CS2s are 700ish.
The used CS2/170r generation of markers are probably the best values in paintball right now.

Sounds snappier and not as smooth as the tm40
I think this is accurate. Not by much, but definitely more feedback in the shot than the TM40 from what I can tell.

Great infomation Vid!
Ray has got to be in sales.
I do not work in sales.

You’re clearly not the target audience for this marker my guy. Your 180 is plenty
How would you compare the shot to? I wanna get this
Last guy on the interview is just a luxe fan boy. All other reviews were honest.

Get a wireless Lav kit my guy. This is darn near impossible to watch/hear. I personally just bought a DJI lav kit, so trust.
Haha i broke down today ,and sold my tm40 and put down on a luxe idol....
What is the audio saying in the intro clip? “I’m suffering? “
"Im Sor-Ry"
"Im Sor-Ry"
3:43 these are preproduction grips
Mabey when its down to 1200 dallah in a year or two
MF rocking the Ohios, I respect it. 👊🏽
wow its a tm with a new screen, which is a luxe X lol
The Idol is a major redesign over the TM40 in my opinion. Think of the X to TM40 as an evolution, whereas the TM40 to Idol is a bigger change.

@@Zeppelin0731 I own all of them lol
Lolol Ray
Juan!
Tm 40s are the teslas of paintball markers. Build like crap
This is why the Idol is very exciting to me. The design and build quality have gone way up in this generation.
