This video is a special one. I enjoyed very much making it!
In this occasion I will restore an old Micron server from 1995.
It has a Micronics dual processor motherboard and SCSI drives.
I will encounter some problemas but a lot of good moments so join me.

Thanks for your comment! Glad you liked the video. I know it’s not the best but gloves are uncomfortable to manipulate tiny stuff and they end tearing because of sharp edges. I also have a capacitor discarger so when I’m near high voltage everything is fine. Some situations where I use gloves is when I fix my car or when I weld, but that’s why this channel is only for entertainment and should not take it seriously. Cheers!
Did you think about retro bright for the plastics to bring it back to near new look removes the stains and plastic cement putty to fill the holes where its broken ?
Yes of course! I will revive that front and case where it's bent and that. Also some epoxy surely and try to match the colour where it's broken but yes, definitely going to revive it. Thanks for your comment!
Nice save! That machine was so dirty, I could almost smell the stink through my laptop screen. Did it belong to a smoker? It looked like nicotine, tar and cat hair. The nastiest thing was being able to see the line of filth when you removed the cover.
The Plextor drive was a good save too. Those drives are very reliable. All of the ones I have can read Cd-R discs though. I wonder if the lens might still be a bit dirty.
I'm kind of surprised that Windows 2K wouldn't install. It would be a better choice with that hardware, NT is kind of finicky and the driver model is... weird. You could probably even swing windows XP if you swap the processors for the non-mmx Pentium 200 and max out the ram, but that might be pushing it. A vintage version of Linux might be fun too! Or even OS/2.
I have a similar Zeos server that was made by Micron, but mine only has one CPU.
Hey thanks for your comment! Indeed it was nasty as hell, I don't want to imagine where it came from haha but surely after it's purpose as server it was in some heavy smoker environment with animals. I always wanted a dual CPU and learn more about servers and stuff so I really like this machine. Yes, NT is super cumbersome to install and 2K would be ideal, I tested it with the HDD formatted in FAT32 instead of NTFS and it didn't crash so it would be nice to have a healthy SCSI HDD to make it happen if not I'll use IDE. Also I'd love to put more memory and processors as you said so I'll be into it soon and also it would be cool to test some vintage Linux. Would like to see that Zeos server from yours, I couldn't find anything about it. Cheers!
