I'd love a remaster of xenogears. Perhaps not the full ff7 remake, but modern systems, higher resolution textures, add in missing content. Finish the latter parts of the game. Etc. Etc.
Joanne Hogg's voice still absolutely stands the test of time. 😌

By far, my favorite song from all the Xenogears OST. Joanne Hogg's angelic voice makes *Stars of Tears* an absolutely beautiful masterpiece!! 🥲👍
It's insane that the vocal version of song wasn't in the actual game.

It's in a hidden FMV that you can't normally access. It was intended to be an additional opening or ending movie I think

maybe it should be in the disc 3 which had been cut off 😅
@@dansmith1661 or you could use a utility like PSMplay to extract it from the disc.
This track does not play in any cutscenes, areas, battles or menus in Xenogears.
It was intended to play during a staff credits sequence after the opening cutscene; however, this was cut because it was decided that this would make the opening sequence too long.
But it was secretly included on the PS1 disc and you could play it on a computer if you knew where to find it.
Man, Xenogears still looks pretty good even by today's standards.
2D sprites on 3D environments was such a good choice from the Team

チョコボの不思議なダンジョンについてきた体験版を何度もプレイし、本作が発売したときは本当に感動してやりこんだ。いまだにゼノギアスを超えるゲームに出会えていない。本当に最高のゲームだった。令和の技術でリメイクされないかなぁ。

I just finished playing this game on the PS1 and man, Xenogears was so amazing. I loved it. I jumped in after replaying Xenosaga and this was a treat. Praying for a remaster or a remake one day, but for now, sharing the music will keep me happy 💕

Talk about a game that could use a Remake. It would be amazing if Square partnered with Monolith Soft to remake this Classic.
A 1:1 remake with missing content from disc 2 would be awesome. Just don't take all the liberties like with FF7R.

Had it not been for TH-cam, I would have missed this amazing track all those many years ago.
If you listen closely enough, you can hear this many variants of this song across the entire game, but the vocals of this song are best said by itself... "The song remains, like a haunting melody." Truly something that I will never forget.
The tonal dissonance between the song and the visuals here is immaculate. Chef's Kiss

Discovering this track years ago made me feel interested in this game. Such a masterpiece.
i played this game a few years ago, and I feel like a lot of the plot went way over my head. I can't imagine playing this as a kid cause I wouldn't have understood any of it

The song is also the audio to a music video stored in the English version of Xenogears' second disc.
However, this file cannot ordinarily be accessed without extraction tools or similar methods.
Or Lunar disc I think
Unrelated, but try using an audio extraction utility on Lunar 2: Eternal Blue or Vanguard Bandits sometime. Working Designs hid a really funny audio track in there.

この曲、アウトテイクで普通にゲームしてたら聞けないけど、サントラにはちゃんと入ってるから当時狂ったように聞いたな。
しばらくしてディスク入れ替えでこの曲を使ったムービーが見れることを知って驚いた。

I remember can access the music video with the special bonus disc of Lunar 1 or 2 (forgot which one) but the clips are a bit different from this? Still the same song tho.
Just saying I would really like to buy this game a forth time on something besides my old Ps3 and PSTV since my older PlayStation tend to overheat.
