The MEMZ Nyan Cat is the result of the infamous MEMZ trojan destroying a computer. The virus was created by Leurak to be tried out by danooct1.
The MEMZ trojan would spam the user with dangerous website searches, flashing colors, error messages and sounds, and then eventually, would crash the PC. Attempting to stop the virus would blue screen the PC.
Rebooting the PC after the trojan's attack would show up with the message "Your computer has been trashed by the MEMZ Trojan. Now enjoy the Nyan Cat."
A midi file of the nyan cat plays through the PC tones and a DOS render of the nyan cat will appear, animated.
It has a different coloration compared to the original nyan cat, having a different shade of pink, blue, etc.
Rebooting again will always bring the user to the message and nyan cat, so the PC becomes unusable.
Joel from Vinesauce destroyed a Windows 10 using the same virus, and then began to corrupt the MEMZ Nyan Cat bootloader, resulting in some funny and nightmarish images.
The safer 4.0 version of MEMZ has the dangerous parts taken out, so the PC is still usable, which meant that the nyan cat was removed

I went ahead and ran this virus on my dell optiplex sx260, it always says battery voltage is low before booting into Windows. and then Windows XP crashed, when it rebooted, said my computer was trashed by memz now enjoy the nyan cat. sat there for awhile listening to the nyan cat song playing through the computer beeps while watching nyan cat fly through space. then decided to turn off, back on, then reinstall Windows XP with the installation disc. Windows Vista on up, you can fix without reinstalling. Technology is amazing, you know.
