- On August 19th, Ridley and I hung out with our friends Amanda (Nox's handler) and Mia (Aspyn's handler) and we spent the day at Disneyland. I got many clips, and had to split this video into two parts, so be sure to stay tuned for PART 2!

Ridley is a multipurpose service dog in training. She is task trained to mitigate my psychiatric and physical disabilities. She is granted public access rights to enter non-pet friendly places via The Americans With Disabilities Act and California Disabled Persons Act. Bringing non-service dogs into non pet friendly establishments is illegal. Faking a service dog is a federal crime, and a misdemeanor in many states punishable by $1k+ in fines and jail time. Please do your research before bringing your dog into public to find out if they are pet friendly. Target. Walmart, Disneyland, and any theme park or store/establishment that sells food is NOT pet friendly.
I was there with my SD Mia! She’s a husky! She was wearing Pooh ears! We barely missed each other! Hopefully we come out in part 2 but I didn’t see any of you sadly.

I love the crate time with Ridley. The ears perked, like yes I am cute puppy, but you is not my human, I wait for my human. She is such a good girl and the coordinating outfits are a wonderful touch.

full honesty, it’s not. it’s hell most days, this just happened to be a decent day. we certainly wouldn’t bring them if we didn’t need them lol
What breed is Ridley, she looks like a Belgian Malinois (apologies if I spelt that wrong). My mum has a SD who is a German Shepard. Does Ridley ever get called a police dog or anything like that? We come across that often.

Is getting denied access in public a really common occurrence? You just off handedly mentioned getting denied at Taco Bell. My girlfriend is getting matched next year and we both want to prepare for the possible public issues. What companies do the worst and what do the best with access?
hey! so we actually were talking about a pet that we watched getting kicked out of the taco bell we went to. but no, i haven’t been denied access many times. i know other teams have issues a lot more than i have, but truthfully i’ve only ever had two or three real access issues in the two years of having my SD. in my experience and observation; sushi places, nail salons, hair dressers, and small business restaurants seem to be the most common places for access issues. though that’s not always the case
