    Most walls have doors or windows, ways to go through them. His analysis of the mind are worth listening to over and over until you decide to challenge yourself to step up from 40% capacity utilization to 100% knowing that it means being willing to change, to suffer and to grow. Really great talk. Will work on it from right now.

    I have found a proverb in my bible years ago and as I discovered Googins I have been strucked by understanding: "Order your dreams/"projects" to God, and God will shape your minds to find your way". Translated analogously. Thank you Googins and thank to all the American people out there who bring inspiration and understanding in my life. God bless America!!!

    I know Gary Vee talks about going in on your strengths and all but Goggins has a point that I've experienced in my life. If you spend a small fraction of your life dedicating it to your weaknesses , your strengths and flow states while doing things you love/are good get better. So in other words: working in weaknesses, ultimately will give you an advantage when going in on your strengths.

    I want to make a video about taking diets and self-control completely to the next level. Many talk about finding the mental strength to fight off unhealthy desires, including overeating. I've never heard about anyone tackling the problem before we even have to use mental toughness to fight against it. We have the ability to train our brains to completely discredit the simple electrical signal from our stomachs to our brains that is translated into hunger. If we teach ourselves that the stomach has no knowledge of how much food in the form of body fat we are carrying, it only knows when it is empty or full. Its electrical signal to our brains is sent blindly, with no other basis. If we simply look at and pinch to measure the thickness of our belly fat for example, at the moment we feel a hunger urge, every time, visually seeing our lack of need for answering the stomach's uneducated signal and feeling that food stored in between our fingers, then we reaffirm the fact that when we eat, it should always be because our brains made that choice, not because our stomach's message forced us to, completely discrediting the hunger message as fake news upon arrival. You don't have to fight the hunger urge if you don't ever translate the stomach's signal as legit. :D (Fasting for at least 48 hours (also a very healthy thing to do) at least a few times also helps by training ourselves that we can actually go for days and even weeks with little to no food, further helping to teach our brains the lack of value in our stomach's messages.)

    My advice is that if you can't get up in the morning then you probably need to go to bed earlier and stop using substances like alcohol or sleeping pills that stop you sleeping properly. Sleep is a very complicated subject and simply "toughing it out" and depriving yourself of sleep has been proven to be harmful. Sure it's "manly" to ignore pain and harm to yourself to accomplish some goal but it is wise? You're not going to feel so "alpha" when you have early onset dementia or Alzheimer's.

    • @JohnDoe-fg9ng

      If you wake up early and are tired, then you should be able to go to bed earlier that night because you would be tired.

    • @rizyrozaytheboss8516
      @rizyrozaytheboss8516 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Matt D elaborating on your point: if we don’t get enough sleep than even over a matter of a week our performance actually becomes worse than to become better. Sleep deprived brain and body does not work at its optimal level and if we try our hardest. But on the same note is a very very good habit to wake up early and get your shit done, so that means like you said get to bed early which most of don’t do.
