Poor Alfie, he's clearly the better choice, yet the writers are clearly setting Emily up to be with Gabriel. Alfie definitely deserves better!

I am team Alfie for sure. But by that I don't mean that I want him to be with Emily. Honestly, I feel like she takes him for granted and to me it's clear that Alfie is way more into this relationship than Emily. I don't want Lucien to leave the show because he brings such a nice vibe .

Alfie deserves better than Emily. He's perfect, but not perfect, and she rejects him for Gabriel. The cook and she are very much in love. But she hurt Alfie as much as she could. She didn't deserve his attention. She was another girl who hurt him when he thought it was serious.

@@ladysuzaku90mirae54 not true, all emily and gabriel have is tension. that's not real chemistry, just forbidden-ness. emily and gabriel don't have any more, or any special, chemistry in comparison to alfie and emily, alfie is just communicative and up front so it's not as "dramatic." i mean if they had less chemistry they wouldnt have this many people rooting for this guy when there were other love interests that were better than gabriel, but didn't have much chemistry. and, alfie also has the disadvantage of being introduced in season 2. no need to comment this on a video made for alfie and emily lmao, people here would just diagree.

Can we please have a show with the leading man & ending up happy? He’s just wonderful. Warm, intelligent, with a good heart but still so fun! Just a lovely modern man beyond alpha and beta stereotypes 💕
They were so cute but thank god for Alfie not ending up with Emily because she really sucks. She has a cheating pattern which already makes her a shit person because it wasn't even like rooted in personal issues or anything. She never considers coming clean and taking responsibility. EVER. She constantly acts like a victim and like some goody two shoes, completely lacking self-awareness, and whenever she does stop to reevaluate she just ends up being an even bigger jerk.
But she was so much better this season. After the time she didn't show up for Alfie, she made it up for him and started to get committed for him. She stayed loyal and never cheated. She could have the night Gabriel was drunk but she didn't. She tried to jump into Alfie route this time and not stray. I guess you ppl just see Emily too negatively. She does mess up at times but she has helped ppl out too.
Exactly, for that reason I hope next season (or final) she stays alone. She needs to change her shitty attitud from scratch and learn to be a better person, friend, girlfriend, etc.

They spent their time together, laughed together, had fun, joked... Like what else do you need HER to do? Spread flowers on his feet. She never cheated this season and especially not with Alfie. She just submerged her feelings for Gabriel, trying to move on from him and even supported Gabriel decision to marry someone else. She did make mistakes on some ocassion but you can't expect her or anyone to be perfect all the damn time.
And she was a better friend too. She tried to help out her friends... Even helped Alfie by suggesting a better solution to his employer when things got messy at Alfie work during their trip. She hid the fact from Mindy that her new bf kicked her out for Mindy sake... How much good you need Emily to be? Are you guys delusional?
@@shaily191 Okay she didn't physically cheat this season. But that doesn't mean she grew as a person. To be fair, by Emily's standards, sure that's growth. When she got together with Alfie, she was still emotionally cheating on him with Gabriel. Even in s3, she continues to emotionally cheat on him which is equally bad. If she wasn't over Gabriel, she should take time get over him or be completely honest about her feelings with Alfie so he can make an educated decision about their relationship. Not to mention, the show and Emily also tend to ridicule French culture and French people. Seeing as cheating is made a common thing (and romanticized) in Paris on the show when in reality it isn't. And Emily walks around with a patronizing air, in her 'oh-so-american' entitlement, acting like she's better because of it. That she's the only one who is creative because of her 'American-ness" and French people are like old people from the 80s that are set in their ways and can't be creative. You cannot tell me that every French person she surrounds herself with doesn't act like that, which leads to her being patronizing. France is known for it's art and architecture, and the show had the audacity to portray their ignorant perspective through American lenses, expecting people to buy the random bullshit they sold about it. What's worse is that this ridicule is seen through the lens of Emily, our main lead, which essentially makes it her voice on the entire show so the ridicule becomes her perspective. Making her sort of a xenophobic person. And honestly, the show did too much damage in the first season. They showed her as such a shitty person, that even a talented actress like Lily Collins couldn't make me like her. That says A LOT about the kind of writers that are on this dumb ass show. For me, it's too late now. She is unlikeable through and through.
@@shaily191 Indeed, the same show. I love Emily, but that doesn't blind my analysis about her character. Remember this is just my opinion (it doesn't have to be the right o wrong one):
1) Emily just dated out Alfie to forget her true love (Gabriel). She develops some feelings (call it "love), but not strong enough as she feels for Gabriel. Emily loves Alfie (as friend).
2) In the new season, it's really obvious that she prefers to spend time with Gabriel. She's always looking him for companion (worked as waitress by his side; invited to dates with friends). She never got away from Gabriel because she wants him as boyfriend. It is true, she didn't kiss him or slept with...but Emily was cheating Alfie in different way.
3) Also, Emily had a hypocrite friendship with Camille, just to be nearby Alfie. Not healthy and nothing honest at all.
Emily is changing, but she's yet a shitty person. So, I hope her character still growing up and became a good reference for people.
Lily Collins is a brilliant actress. 👏

I love Emily & Alfie, but I love Gabriel & Emily. It's 2 different types of love, it's very difficult. One is fresh and fun, the other is sensual and romantic. I do hope if Alfie is re-casted, they pair him with another girl or give him a storyline of great success with Antoine!
Everyone is talking abt being Team Alfie or Team Gabriel, meanwhile I'm here wondering how such a bad character like Emily can even be written in the first place, let alone she being a protagonist or being shipped with other people!

Also, its not like she choose Gabriel instead of Alfie. Camille said some things at the weeding but Alfie didn't even give Emily a chance to explain herself. Maybe in the 4th season Emily will be able to explain Alfie her feelings, because Camille said some shit that is not necessarily true to Alfie. (she really love Alfie (not as much as she loves Gabriel but that's a detaill))

Ok so during season 2 I couldn’t stand Alfie but after watching season 3 I grew to like him, while yes I do feel bad for him and I hope he finds love and happiness with a wonderful girl, I’m still team Gabriel I’m sorry but I just love their chemistry, and they look like their in love so, yeah although I must admit there was 1 point when Alfie gave Gabriel a run for his money
