Ahh good times. My most awesome PvP experiences all came from cata. Had some in MoP too but cata still is my No. 1. I remember watching this with my friends 2 - 3 times a day. We played FMP with fire mage because of hansol.
I have watched alot of pvp videos on youtube, but this one is by far my favorite. The content is amazing, keeps you interested all the way to the ending + you have some skills! Reallyreallyreally great job editing the video aswell!

Oh you mean Art of Combustion from back in 4.1 or 4.2? Yeah I had to delete that one because of Copyright music purposes : ( I know that one was pretty epic and that was around the time people started taking Fire Mages for RBGs. Lol. I've actually had to delete like 10 videos from back in 4.1/4.2 because of that reason. No worries, better videos coming out soon!

Finally a real fire mage that knows what he is doing. I love the intro.. looks like it took a long time to edit.. So ofc a like and subbed right away. Keep it up mate! More vids where you solo 3 people or more! :D
As a Fire mage your rotation is pretty much the following: Cone of Cold (Make sure you have the talent so that CoC also freezes your target for 4 seconds), then Scorch into a Fire Blast. They will both crit because of the Shatter talent. After two consecutive crits you'll proc Hot Streak (Instant Pyroblast). Then Freeze your target again with Frost Nova, and launch your Pyroblast for another guaranteed crit. After this, use Living Bomb and finally after all dots are applied Combustion and watch
for example. a warrior pops spell reflect. Drop an ice lance to get rid of spell reflect then continue pwning. Better to have him reflect ice lance that does 5k dmg than with a pyro blast that does 70k dmg
You've got enough spell penetration if you take either the spell penetration neck OR spell penetration cloak (Not both, just 1). And as a Fire mage, you can pretty much just stack critical strike rating. But after you reach enough crit to get guaranteed crits with shatter, you can also take some haste and not forgetting the hit cap of 4% (or 410 hit rating).
You can spread Combustion to all targets in about 10 yards with Impact procs. The Ice Lance can be used for a lockout of the fire tree and for a crit proc. Fire is a fast paced fun spec to play, but it is very crit heavy and the RNG system can be a bit unforgiving sometimes.

Everyone keybinds in their own different way. Do what you feel comfortable with. Just use shift/alt/ctrl modifiers to allow you get the most out of your keybinds and use keys easily accessible. like I use 1-5, QERTSFZXCV+ a shift modifier for each so I get double the binds. And unbind the backpedalling key, S and put something on it. I personally put a fakecast macro on S so I can fakecast scorch and juke those silences.
Hansol if you have the time, could you do a video on how fire mages should use the somewhat more 'obscure' abilities like spellsteal and decurse? I'd love to see that from you! It's something I struggle with incorporating into my play. Your videos have already helped me a lot though, they're both awesome and educational :D

I have a fire mage question. When you spread combustion like that, it looks like it spreads to everyone in a certain radius. I thought it only spread to 3 people, am I wrong or does it just look like it's hitting everyone?

When fire blast procs, it spreads any dots to surrounding targets, so everyone will have your combustion combo etc

Hansol, give us a rundown on your addons. especially the one that shows your cauterize and the one showing what CC's being used on you as a picture.

Thats a Brain freeze proc that he spell stole from the frost mage, it lets you fireball or frostfire bolt instantly.

I think that might have been changed. At least the tooltip says "...spread any Fire damage over time effects to nearby enemy targets within 12 yards."

so, i sorta calculated Hansol's dps when he did his first "bursting!" in AV, he did 140k dps, 2.1mil damage total in around 14seconds.
