Hi everyone, I have a case like this: The CEO of company X wants to build X as a retail chain with coverage of the entire country Y (this is the business model). The operating model is: Company X is a holding company covering the entire country Y and establishes 3 level 1 subsidiaries covering 3 regions, 10 level 2 subsidiaries covering several large provinces and cities of each region. Question: Are the business model and operating model defined correctly?. Thank you.

You are welcome. I did these as an experiment, so it's good to see that you found them to be useful.

    Dear Friends,
    I have 2 questions:
1/ If the HR department has many tasks, does an operating model canvas represent all of the tasks, or does an operating model canvas cover only one task?
2/ What are the duties of support departments (eg: HR, IT) on the corporate canvas operating model?.
    Thank you.

      as far as I know
1/ however you like to do so
2/ everything you add in operating model has, of course, to have adding value for the company. With other words it has to sustain money making or improve the money making (continues improvement part). IT department keeps the servers, software in shape and provide workers with needed information to be able to make their added value! And this way IT department makes it's added value by providing critical information to workers for example. HR department for example (a part of the operating model for HR) is that when sales is so good it should have a plan for scaling up workers as rapidly as they can and make sure they are trained! (for the training part HR needs to have interaction with production to organise such training for example. For scaling up rapidly it has to define and contact perhaps on forehand what canals are going to be used. Worker agencies and/or advertise them selfs.)
