Very informative! With such a new type of climate threat, its great to have researchers working on modelling tools to prevent and adapt to these climate change issues. Great work!

      New threat? 😂

This is a great content to better understand what are slush flows and how they are being studied to predict theire behavior. Good job!

Glad to see that slush flows and snow hazards are being investigated here in northern Norway! Great video :)

The hazard map sounds really cool.
Will there also be measures taken to reduce slush flows and mitigate their effects (e.g. not building in slush flow risk areas, planting trees/brush where possible, ...)?

Thanks for your question! The hazard map is indeed a crucial first step. By developing these simulations, the IMPETUS project can identify hazard zones, which then serve as a foundation for risk reduction regulations. The long-term goal is for stakeholders to use these maps for spatial planning and other measures - like avoiding construction in high-risk areas or implementing mitigation strategies. Thanks for your interest, and stay tuned for more updates!

A very clear video for understanding snow hazards, such as slush flows, in the context of climate change.

Slush flows are pre Cambrium. Nothing new caused by Global Warning.
