    This is what I would call the defintion of a true bass voice. Rich, dark yet brilliant, powerful and great command of both the high and low range.

    Excellently well sung that difficult aria. This whole role of Polifemo is very complex. Bella voce. Bravo colleague

    When he started singing classical music, he sat next to me in our choir, trinitatis Kantori of Copenhagen. He was kind of a rough diamond, but his talent was obviously massive.

    Well Done!
    Why was your performance of Handel’s Leave Me, Loathsome Light from Semele removed from You Tube? It was splendid and I wish it were still available!

    He sang this very difficult song requiring a two and a half octave range beautifully so he is a real bass-baritone, however he seems to have difficulty holding on to high G4 notes.

    I think the pianist should be named. Why should accompanist be ignored ?

      Because the singer who sent me this video didn't include that information. If you can provide it, send the info along.

    A 415 o a 440?

      I was wondering same stuff. I got the impression that is 432. It seems to be 440

    • @antemahoney4376
      @antemahoney4376 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it is 440 as most pianos are tuned to equal temperment 440 though this aria was originally written with reference to a tuning system that is a semitone lower so in modern day the low note would be D2 but in its original barouque tuning it would be notated as C#2

      @@antemahoney4376 choosing A4=415hz as the "baroque pitch" is actually a modern invention, and mostly arbitrary. based on church organs from the time period there were tunings between A4=390 and A4=465. so in short, we don't know for certain what Haendel used

    That's a really glorious lower register.
    Bass here, more of a Basso cantabile type tho, operatically trained (so I know what I'm talking about).

    Для немца неплохо, вокалом бы заняться , а то как горохом по стене, школа плохая

    The first fra l'ombre e gl'orrori of the first part lacked oxygen began with power and diaphragmatic technique to boost the treble and import the notes. He has a great vocal range an enveloping color but if he didn't rush that he follows his piano forte it's going to be out of time I want to believe that he takes few presentations and his nerves win him over. Greetings and cheer up
