Another great entertaining review. Really enjoy your method / process and that you revisit games that have been around for a while and aren't always chasing the latest and greatest that most of us can't keep up with financially anyway. Most importantly, I always have a good hardy laugh or two or three. Thanks for all that. 👍🏻
Don't bother buying the expansion. After multiple 6 player games, we have the impression it highly favours the commodity strategy! The base game is indeed very good! Thanks for the video!
@@brubinstein1 My last 6 player game has been a while ago... But I remember that in non of the 6 player games I've played, the player who pursued the 3 types of conquest strategy, has won the game. Again, it's a bit vague now. But I think it had something to do with the board that is too crowded. There is no player scaling on the board itself (still 29 circles). It's so crowded and there is so much competition (26 mission discs has to be placed on the board (ghost ships not included)), that it's really hard to pull off the 3 types of conquest every round. This strategy also relies a bit on the free silver, gold and jewels to match up with the commodity strategy. There is not much left of that in a 6 player game. It's just way easyer to pick up 2 barrels and 3 or 4 trade goods, than doing all the other stuff for the fighting. I've never played a 3 player game, but on BGG it has the status of "not recommended", I guess that the map is just too open in a 3 player game. Maybe the game/map was originally designed for 4 or 5 players...
Thanks for posting. I dunno this channel has you making my diatribes for me even if you don’t then reach the correct conclusion. “Anti Eurogame posse “ - I am never going to want a pirate game (yes he was) where my character is practising hidden action selection and set collecting to achieve victory point salads. Good gaming to those who take a different view, of course.
@@BoardGameBollocks Oh much more - I didn't say a pirate. Nor did I say I disapproved. (As for BGG they would probably convict him of having problematic views on gender issues).

Amazed every video of the great production! Love the content
👍🏻
No other reviewer makes laugh as hard as you. Informative and hilarious if a balance this geek culture rarely gets right, so kudos to you.
Thanks for the kind words mate 👍🏻
Came to the same conclusions as your good self. Another excellent video, great production, solid opinions and funny as fuck…cheers😆🤘
😉
found a cheap new french version. hopefully it will be ok. it says "No necessary in-game text" so i took a gamble based on the cost.
It’s language independent.

Thanks for the advice. Was going to pull the trigger.
Could you elaborate? I'm about to pull the trigger on this specifically for 6 players.

Drake was much more than a Pirate, but let the BGG billy big balls forum tossers argue the toss about that one.

😂👏🏻
If you don’t like euro games its not for you. If you don’t like light themed games this isn’t for you.
Boring game, I sold it and would never want to play or own it again. Pretty though.
