I got the giant Robo Samurai Chrome Dome. He’s awesome. I might have to get the Robo-cop too. Funny how Turtles had versions of classic 80s properties like Aliens, Predator, and Robo-Cop.

Love the figure. But how is it Diamond select just released a Massive red hulk and a massive Beta Ray for 30 bucks still? That company is like the Arizona tea of toys. Every other drink price goes up and there’s is still 99 cents.

Agree with your comment about the painted shading and it being unnecessary. Nobody ever talks about that. But it also creates a problem with moving the figure out of the stationary position and then colors don't line up. If they insist on doing it I think it needs to be considerably more subtle.

Chrome Dome was $40 at the NECA Store in Sep 2021. He's so much bigger than Rex-1. I don't understand why Rex is more expensive.

Great review and congrats on the quick find and vid! I agree, not worth $50. More in the $40-$45, plus not a must have (for me). Gladly on the outs of Toon but focusing more on the Last Ronin and Mirage lines, just trading one drug for another 🙈🤷♂️
I'm just like you focusing on the Mirage and Archie figures. I did manage to pick up the Mirage Shredder Clone.

With mentioning about the hand painting, I found out a few years back (from a very reputable source) that all the NECA toon Turtles stuff is actually hand painted. I mean it looks like it is, but I didn't think it actually was, so finding that out really blew my mind...especially considering these things aren't $100+ a piece.

Great review as always @nostalgiaunboxed. I saw Rex-1 today also after putting the Mirage Comics Shedder Clone in my shopping basket. I was contemplating on buying them both, but originally budgeted for one figure.
So I bought the Shedder Clone. If I see Rex-1 at another Target, I'll be sure to pick him up. He's a dope ass figure in person.

Excellent video! I walked into my local Target on Saturday and it must have been at the most opportune time because they had it all! I got Jagwar, Manray, Triceraton, Accessory Pack, Usagi YoJimbo, 4 armed Shredder and two Ronin Figures (unarmored and rogue derelict) there was a ton more (the two-pacs of various figures) but I couldn't afford them all!

I could be wrong, but I think both the Pizza Mutant and Chrome Dome are taller, and Chrome Dome overall larger. Guess I'll see soonish

Excellent video! I started collecting these NECA TMNT figures maybe 6 months ago but haven't been around for a Haulathon and sadly didn't realize this one was happening until all the good stuff is sold out on Target's website. At this point (around March 20th) - will it still be possible to find these Haulathon exclusives like this figure, Mona Lisa, the black and white Yojimbo in Target stores? Or is my best bet to just buy off of eBay at this point?

Oh you found him a bit early.looking good. He's a must have character for me. Probably since he's from a season one episode that I viewed a lot. Was not expecting all the accessories, the tapes particularly remind you of the era. suspect They could use this body again for Shredders reprogrammed police robots.
He is pretty fantastic! Those would be pretty sweet to add on. I’m sure NECA will do it. They just keep going with no stopping in sight!

I've only been collecting characters I truly love or designs that I really love so this Hall of fun I mainly looking for Black and White Usagi, Dreadmon and Jagwar. Waiting on the Mirage Turtles and last Ronin brothers to really drop the heavy money. However, the animated Alf figures are really appealing.

The other haulathon figures look pretty good like the shredder clones look awesome they seem really fun with all those 4 arms also jagwar is from the adventures line and he's pretty good I have him.
Yeah, didn't see the clones when I begged for help at 3 stores, but I love the look!

Actually there was a RoboCop animated cartoon series way back in 1988 which was based on the 1987 movie. The cartoon was apart of the Marvel Action Universe programing block.👮👮♂🚓🚔P.S. Ironically this presentation made me think of Urkel bot?!🤖

Rex looks great, but i'm mostly bowing out of the TMNT line. but i am still not leaving Haulathon unscathed as i need at least 4 other things from it.
I totally know this feeling! I’m lucky enough to be able to hand some of these off to friends after reviewing. As much as I love the animated stuff I have to be selective. The accessory set is a must to go alone with my turtles in disguise. I really do love this Rex though so I may keep this one. We shall see! So much goodness out there
@@NostalgiaUnboxed the baby turtle set is the must have for sure, but the mutant shredders are a close second. the other 2 aren't even TMNT related but i've been kicking myself for passing on the spider-gremlin for years now so it coming back has me pretty excited and i'll probably grab one of the cartoon ALF just because i love me some ALF.

I have nearly all of the Aliens Kenner Tribute. Not certain I will continue, I feel the line died? No updates? Bull? Flying Queen? Wild Boar? I started collecting this TMNT line. But they are 100 + for each installment. The Aliens are not holding up joint wise so I did not unbox the lack luster marines. My toy collector friend says hold out for the aliens and continue the TMNT. It’s hard to not want to hold them after watching your informative honest content. I want the Rock Soldiers sitting in my wish list. But I could say goodbye to the aliens as they are lack luster, reused parts, inspired with allot of creative liberties. It’s my childhood toy box but better. I would like to choose one to bankrupt me slightly less than both.
I think the TMNT stuff is so much better than what they do in the Alien line. I love those movie and have most of the human characters from Aliens, but of all the xenomorphs I have had I am always disappointed.

After some time those stands/ supports become more visible, and those artistic liberties look as weird as the day you convinced yourself you could live with it. Keep up the great work. If you ask me the whole "if I break it I should have known better" is nonsense and NECA shouldn't get a default pass for a wide spread issue of brittle figures that break

@@NostalgiaUnboxed if NECA had instructions on the box for these widely known "you gotta do it" preventative measures. Sure fair play they are acknowledging the issue and then it's on us. But otherwise how's a new consumer to know or expect that? And then when ever someone has their figure break. Which is already common in this Haulathon figure wave, they are blamed for breaking the figure, not NECA for making figures that commonly break.
Huge fan of TMNT.......but thats too much money for a character that had 1 appearance and no significant impact on the turtles lol. This whole wave is C listers. They will clog shelves for a while like wingnut and screwloose.
The price is right for people that are into him. Others are super pumped they actually made him and he is huge. If you’re not into random characters then it’s easy! I am open to all the characters but only keep select items regardless
Chrome Dome is the biggest from that line.
