- The video shows the historic town of Maldon which is situated on the river Blackwater where it joins the River Chelmer and was an early Saxon settlement. Fullbridge once a port and industrial area. The town it self, Promenade Park, Hythe Quay, and the famous Thames Barges. The Mud Race is held here annually.

I love to walk along the path and canal from Heybridge Basin. This video bring backs happy memories of Essex. Thanks and well done.

Shame that we lost both of our railways, we need them now. we are. a growing town with all the extra houses that are planned the return of our train service is a must

Fantastic. Brings back the memories of the years I worked in Maldon. Visited last month for the 1st time since 2009.
Oh wow! I saw my friends' old houses, the place where I fished with my dad, my own home (2nd double fronted one on the left) 40 Market Hill. We lived there for 2-3 years in the mid-70s, as a British Army-hired house.
We used to go to The Little Ship Club and The Jolly Sailor Pub, swim in the prom, now a small lake I see.

Many years ago after the dance at Heybridge Head Qauters go to the Cromwell Cafe sausage egg and chips now and again get into a fight in cromwell lane my mate Knocker Locke lived and next door his cousin John Yardley memories
