It's not at all what it used to be but for his age, absolutely. In his prime (before he blew his voice out during the Black Album tour) it was one of the greatest voices in metal. Wish he could still sing like he did back then.

His singing is still good, but he cant quite put the same fire behind his vocals like he could way back when. At least, not often. Now, for a song like NLC, thats fine. Its not very demanding vocally so he can sing it just fine and it sounds just how it should. But... If he sings something like The Thing That Should Not Be... He'll sing it well enough, but it wont have that same intensity that it did in his prime. I'll give the man all the credit I can. 40 years is a long career in any field, but for a metal band? Or any band for that matter? That's just insane. And to still be touring all these years later and still sound good? You dont do that without a looooot of talent and dedication to maintaining that skill.

Viajé desde Salta y luego del recital pasé de largo sin dormir hasta la hora de mi vuelo de regreso a las 16 hs. Fue toda una aventura viajar solo, conocer gente buena que me ayudó y a pesar de los pormenores del viaje, puedo decir que valió la pena. Ha valido cada maldito segundo. ¡Aguante Metallica!

There are certain songs that are great to listen to recorded, but No leaf Clover and Creeping death are probably to of their best songs made even better when live.

I think they're going to start the next tour in North America. I believe the shows here in South America are from the 2019 tour (when James went to rehab)
